I will have to ask Zach but it is not participant I do know that much.

That will be picked by a few mopar knowledgeable people/automotive enthusiasts with NO ties to the show/group/sponsors, etc.

Just a reminder for Cinco there is always the coin challenge against the other clubs. We took it home again last year so would like to stick with that again this year. We already raised $707 at the Superdawg event late last year so we have a great start.

For those that do not know about it, this started a few years ago when it came to light if you fill a reg 20 oz bottle with dimes its usually around $100. So started the challenge. Everyone that would like to participate keeps a bottle and collects change and then turns in it right before Cinco. Anything in the bottle goes towards the total amount CAMM donates. Winners out of all the clubs get a featured photo on all the Cinco DeMopar social media accounts for a month or so.

Its not about the photo or winning, its about raising money but also doing it a fun way. If you want to do this but you do not use cash or keep change I have gotten bottles in the past with checks and paper money, nothing will be turned away.

I will set up a fun event in April to meet up to turn in the coins or you can give me the bottle at Cinco. Each bottle needs to have a club name on it or it does not count. Questions please let me know.

This is the CAMM meeting spot for the cruise down to Cinco DeMopar. Details are being worked out so the time is probably going to change.

But for anyone that wants to cruise down as a group this is where CAMM members will be meeting. As always you are welcome to make your own plans.

Please remember that the event is in the Eastern Standard Timezone so you lose an hour around the windmills. So the 10 am CST end time is actually 11 am EST.

Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis, 700 Tri-State Tollway, South Holland, IL 60473
Need to be on the road NO LATER than 815 am, 8 am would be better. It is a 2 hour drive (but will count as 3 hours due to the time change)


Directions from the oasis to the show site. There are other ways to get there that you are welcome to take but this way is the most direct with the least amount of turns and lights so if you are all in a group its easier to stay together.

Leave Oasis on I-294 N/ I-80 W
Take exit 168 to get on I-65 S
Stay on I-65 S until you get to exit 168 for IN-38 toward Dayton/ Lafayette/ IN-25
Turn right onto IN-38 W
Event will be on the right about a half mile down



Asked on FB as well I need someone to volunteer to be the line leader/ time keeper when you guys hit the road and so you hit the road on time. I will already be down in Lafayette the night before so I cannot do it.

Might shoot down the night before as well if work allows it.

About 12 of us are heading down Friday afternoon so if you can make it we will be down there just hanging out waiting for the show the next day.

Time is passing by quick! Cinco shirt sales are done in 2 days and pre-registration is open until April 6th. Can register the day of in case you are on the fence. Check out the event for all the details. Great way to kick off the season and help out two very worthy causes.

Ok to catch up a few things, no Flying J Cruise this year. Taking a break from it, might be back next year.

I have people that are concerned that cruising with a large group of cars people are going to drive fast and stupid. Yep probably. My advice is always the same, you are an adult drive how you see fit. If you get pulled over the rest of the group will probably be laughing as they drive by. But most importantly just get to the event safe, no one wants to see anyone's car torn up and I know no one wants to hurt anyone else's car or anyone else that is on the road for that matter. So if you are concerned just hang back, do the speed limit, and enjoy the scenery... and we will see you when you get to the event.

LASTLY does someone want to be the timekeeper at least. All I need is for someone to go its X:XX AM we need to leave now. No one has to lead like I do. The best way to get there is posted above, or you can put it in your GPS and go. Let me know.

Paul and the NWIMA group stepped up and sponsored all of the awards. They were picked up yesterday, made locally in IN.

So how many people meeting at Oasis? Highly unlikely we cruise down Friday. I have a job going on for our biggest customer and includes tearing down and moving their pharmacy. So I should probably be there.
