Take the first entrance into Busse Woods from Higgins Road (closest to 290)
South side of Higgins
Busse Forest Nature Preserve, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 is what comes up in google map.


Since everyone seemed to like the picnic last year we are going to do it again.

Food plan is posted below, please review and post up in the thread what you are bringing and I will update the list with your name.

Games and events are bring planned so come prepared to participate, might win a cool prize!

The whole family is welcome and encouraged to come to this event.

We have plenty of room to play any lawn games that you would like to bring, just keep things that are thrown around away from the cars.

Drinking is allowed as long as you are 50 feet away from the road and its not in a glass container.

Bring you chairs as well or a blanket to spread out on the ground.

Since this is a family friendly event and we are in public I will remind everyone no acting like asshats. If you are speeding and doing burnouts or trying out for Fast and Furious 8 you will be asked to leave and if you are pulled over by the cops we will all laugh at you.

Probably will get bitched at for loud music so just think about where we are and use common sense. We want everyone to have a fun relaxing day with your car where you don't have to spend hours cleaning it.


**FOOD PLAN**

The club will be supplying: hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, plates, utensils, napkins, bottles of soda and bottles of water, and to go containers.  There will also be a few coolers with ice in case anyone needs it but it is suggested everyone bring ice and an extra bag if you have room.  Also bring whatever you want to drink, even though we have some its not enough for each person and its probably not what everyone drinks anyway.

Keep in mind you do not have to make/ bring enough food for everyone that says they are coming.  We threw away A LOT of food last year and I would like to not repeat that again if possible. To offset that the club will be supplying containers so anyone wants to take food home with them they easily can.

If you are planning on coming later in the day I would suggest not signing up for an appetizer type dish, keep that in mind when you are picking what you are bringing.

Please remember there is no electricity at the location so there is no way to maintain warmth unless it can be put on the grill.

If there is anything you want to drink feel free to bring that as well.  ** NO GLASS ALLOWED  **

Shit I'm bust that day, my stepsister's, mother-in-law's, ex-neighbor's dog had puppies and they sold all but one so we are going to drive out to pick it up. Bad thing is she lives in Manitoba, so only a few hours drive.

The real stuff is soooo good. I had a bottle with pecans in it but ran out.

Food plan and event information updated on first post.

34 on facebook say they are coming so on track to be a turn out like last year. Food plan is as updated as I can make it, lots more to choose from or can add to the list.

Things to know for the picnic:
- yes your family is welcome to attend as well, just let us know how many coming with so we can have enough food
- please either sign up to bring some sort of dish (list below) or plan on donating some $ when you show up
- bring chairs and whatever you want to drink, we will have water, Pepsi, and Diet Pepsi but in limited amounts
- there will be games, both for kids and adults so come prepared to have fun, there will be prizes!
- this is not a show so please do not stress about making your car look show ready on the day of, this is a fun, relaxing day
- introduce yourself to people if you are new, we all like the same cars so you have something you can talk about right away

Well Tammy wont be there, I bought her a roundtrip ticket to go see Taylor that weekend for Mothers day. So I need to see if Brandon can drop me off and pick me up, lol.
I will still pick up and drop off the grill

I need to double check my calendar to make sure I dont have any plans. If I dont, would you all be interested in a DJ?

We would have to rent a generator and have liability insurance and the park system already hurts my head so we will pass on that but please come out and enjoy the day if you are free.

I have the generator, but havent got the insurance yet. I'll see what I can do. It's shaping up to be a busy few months already.

Don't worry about it, we only have a few more days to make changes to our contract before I have to pay a higher fee to make changes.

1:30 p.m.: Water Balloon Toss
2:00 p.m.: Balloon Pop Race
2:30 p.m.: Raffle Drawing
2:45 p.m.: Water Pass
3:00 p.m.: Hula Hoop Pass
3:30 p.m.: Raffle Drawing
3:45 p.m.: The Grand Prize Drawing


Each game you participate in will award you 1 raffle ticket. IF you a game winner or on a winning team, you will have the chance to get more tickets. The more you play, they more you can win!

Every Adult will receive one 'Special' raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing.


We also will be giving the kids some freebies upon arrival!
