Lake Geneva Cruise - October 4, 2015

Dunno he didn't say which one, was wondering if your boss would be there. I will look around on the internets since I am home now and see if I can find the details of their meet.

Oh we have nothing to worry about they will be getting there pretty much as we are leaving.

DETAILS:

The Starting Line: We're switching up the starting point this year and will meet at the Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha, WI. The store opens at 9:00am. We are planning on starting the cruise just after 10:00am, so you'll want to get there early so you can stock up on cheese curds and be ready to cruise.

The Cruise: We will cruise to Lake Geneva via country highways and tree lined Rustic Roads while admiring the Wisconsin fall colors which should be peaking around our cruise date. Glacial hills and winding roads and a whole bunch of fun are included on the route. We will be travelling at a safe but brisk pace. The route has been modified slightly from last year to keep it fresh and to include more amazing road fun. This year, we will be taking Back Road in reverse. We'll make two quick stops along the way; the first at Bushnell Park in Burlington for some photo-ops and the second in Lyons for a fuel stop. We should arrive in Lake Geneva between 1:00-1:30pm.

I'm excited to announce that the Lake Geneva Police Department will provide an escort through downtown Lake Geneva this year. This will help keep us all together, provide additional amazement to spectators, and we get to run a red light, legally.

Food list updated.

I'm not sure if we will be staying for the picnic yet.

Need to know who is attending the picnic portion of the day and what you are bringing by this coming Friday. Need to prepare the main dish and we need a count.

Ok we are coming for the cruise and the picnic and bringing brownies and not the funny brownies either.

I will have copies of the route, find me at the meeting spot to get a copy. Will only have enough copies for those that RSVP'ed.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather, it's saying possibility of rain, everywhere from IL to WI. Pending on the chance for rain, we will have to see how it goes on doing the cruise or not, rain just kills the mood

Yep I will post on FB that we are watching the weather and will make the call not to go on Saturday if needed.

Nope but its up to Adam. The roads are for sure not as fun in the rain.

Just looked at the forecast and it doesn't look like it will rain till the late afternoon, like around 4 and that was only a 20% chance.
