Monster Mopar Weekend at Kil-Kare

Josh has been working his butt off to get something planned for the normal Monster Mopar weekend.  Nothing could be worked out with the track for the original spot or in IN so its now going to be in Ohio.



They are working on hotel, cruise, and the other details. I googled it from Bosak and its about 4 hours so it is a bit more of a cruise so its understandable if our numbers are down from last year but if anyone can make it you know it will be fun.  Map looks like we go down to Indy and cut across.  I believe its about 2 hours east of Indy.

The annoucement for an event in August is now on hold as well.

As I learn stuff I will update.  As of right now I am planning on going.

Would appreciate the support.. The track has been remodeled. and they cooperate with us and hospitality is great.. I will pass info to Crystal and she will update.. Had interest in the cruise, so will get those details hammered out.

I want to make this, but a maybe for now.

Its same weekend but a little bit farther shouldn't scare anyone one away!  
If anything this is better if we do a Bozak cruise again. Last years cruise went to quick.
I'm pumped, lookin fwd to it!   

Now if Zach can get a hotel hosting an S&M convention the weekend will be complete.     

for me, its a financial issue... the bank account isnt looking very pretty...

No one feel pressure to go please. It is a good bit of money to travel any distance out of state so its understandable to have to think about this one. Last year was so much fun so that being repeated isn't a question. But there will be other times we all hang out so its all good.

I get about 9 mpg on a good day, so the extra distance almost doubles my fuel cost

for the first time in a long time i can actually afford to do some out of town meets this year. every single one so far is on dates that i am not allowed to take off work or someone else already has it scheduled off. sigh.

These big events need a push for people to keep going otherwise they go away.
As much as I love the local Chicago area shows, the big events are much more memorable.
What about AMERICA!

I will never pressure anyone to go to anything and won't try to make them feel guilty or bad for not going. Going places cost money and lack of money sucks. Last year I missed a lot of things because lack of money and I felt crappy for not being able to go so I will not put that on anyone else. I agree the big events are fun and if participation gets lower and lower they will stop but that is not a reason to make anyone feel bad for not going. People have jobs and lives outside of Moparland and its all about priorities.

We need to try to have a big event here in Chicagoland it would be pretty amazing I think but I personally don't want to take that on myself. I admire how hard Josh and Zach work on these events and I show my appreciation by showing up and offering my tiny bit of help. But trying to pull something off like they do here... I don't think I could do 1% as good as they do.

And Rich (spicy) I thought I had it on the calendar but it seems to be missing I will get it added.

I'm stuck dog sitting that weekend while my wife and daughter are in MI. It was a tradeoff. I watch the dogs, and then she lets me and the boys go to Carlisle in July.

Im not trying to make anyone feel bad..if you cant go you cant go.. but im just trying to promote those on the fence/maybe people to come party with us.  


If people cant drive due to money, then they can save money by rideing in the backseat of crystals car and sleep on the floor in crystals Room right?   

Cruise from Bosak is a go, will be updating soon.

Here is the cruise flyer. I will make a CAMM meeting spot so we can roll into Bosak together like last year.

I believe there will be an annoucement shortly on hotels. If you haven't already go check out www.monstermopar.com they had the site redone and you can pre-register for the show now.

I am going to be making my decision about attending this after Cinco so if I am a go I will let you all know and those that can make it can start making plans.
