Lol if u only knew... I risk being here during the day, after work i risk having everything i write just wiped. Does anybody have that Samsung Tab 3? I need to know what fucking keys or shortcuts clears my page. I type a book and the fuckin thing wipes it, so the little 'save' feature of the site doesnt work. Have written explanations that take forever to help someone and just gone. I hate it! Anyways... What was the hard part? When i said higher octane doesnt mean more power? Lower octane has more btu value? What?

I'm with you on the phones. I dropped mine on my bare foot a few weeks ago. Hurt me. And it made a beep noise when I picked it up. I think it was trying to probe my mind. I've kept it in a sealed sandwich bag with one teaspoon of salt ever since.

its always the inanimate objects fault, the golf club sliced when it hit the ball, the bowling ball hooked too much etc. They are fun to blame and they cant argue back. Although if we aren't careful, the smart phones and tablets may end up being able to fight back, or the computer in the car gets conspiratorial with the phone and one day your driving along and the next you have no control over what is going on. Hmmmm, sounds interesting

so, i have an update on this issue finally. After throwing the code again for the like 20th time, i took the car into the dealer on monday morning. They've had the car for 3 days, but were finally able to make it misfire, and found my problem. Bad fuel injector for cylinder 3. It was found only because the mechanic moved the injector from cylinder 3 over to cylinder 5 and the problem followed, throwing a misfire code on cylinder 5 now. They will be replacing the faulty injector tomorrow and Ill get my car back finally. The service writer told me that this is actually a very rare problem, almost unheard of. He told me that over the hundreds of cars they service a week, he hasn't seen a bad fuel injector come up in over 5 years. At least they've got it figured out and should be getting fixed, hopefully no other injectors go bad before my warranty runs out haha

just clarifying.... I know my engine is slightly different from the engines in previous years. As I understand it, I have the first year of VVT (Variable Valve Timing) (hehe i technically have a Vtec)5.7's in the chargers (I believe challengers started VVT in 09 or 10?) the previous 5.7s were MDS (Multi-Displacement System) instead of VVT...
Awesome that they found your problem, I did the same on my SRT and a coil pack swap and got rid of a odd rough idle and misfire I had. Didn't have to do the injectors but it was soo much smoother and the power was there. But uhh the 5.7 VVT MDS HEMI was available in the 09 and 10 Chargers, Challengers and 300s prior to the introduction of the 2nd gen LXs.

Glad you pointed that out I was about to say the VVT eagle motors came out in 09 across the board. Those first gens with the VVT are pretty quick usually lighter than gen 2.
When did they stop using Champion copper plugs? Why switch if they still need a 30k interval? Reminds me I need to do my plugs, did my first set around 38k and i'm up to 72k need to find the time this Spring if the snow ever melts!
those are the stock plugs that I removed from the engine, and replaced them with the Champions. Seems kinda retarded to me that you need this one specific spark plug for our engine, while seemingly every other vehicle on the road works with just about any plug as long as it's gapped correctly.

I've seen cars/trucks that we have put other spark plugs in than is recomended come back in some time with either a misfire or the customer complaing about bad gas mileage n stuff like that, I always use the plug that comes stock, never had a problem since. I know a "spark plug is a spark plug", but there are different kinds for different applications. Like some of our cars, I know the 3.5 and the 6.1 calls for a NGK, which is usually a plug for a honda or an import. And the 5.7 and the 2.7 calls for Champions

so if i pulled the NGK's out, should I go out and buy new NGK's and replace these champions that I have in there or whats the deal?

Well, "parts houses" (Auto Zone, Adavance Auto, O'Riielly) the guys that work there aren't mechanics, they are just people that needed a job and wrench on their own cars as a hobby and dont do it everyday. So they will just pull up on the screen what they can and sell it to you if it will fit.
I would say if you're car came with NGK than stick with NGK's. Switching to a different plug isnt really gonna give more performance or anything like that, other than if an engine that is boosted or something than a cooler plug or whatever is needed. The plugs that are installed from the factory are installed in there for a reasion, they are engineered for that application.
I mean, if the Champions work than cool, but they arent gonna last as long as the correct plug for the car for sure. You will need to replace them sooner than later or quicker than recomended from the factory. I've seen plugs last 100K on cars, replace them with something else, and they last only 30K.
