| Subject: spark plugs December 20th 2009, 11:16 am | |
| it has come time for me to replace the plugs on my 07 charger daytona r/t. does anybody have any reccomended plugs to use? the dealer wants close to $400.00 to change the plugs. i looked and i can't see that job costing that much. it looks pretty simple or am i missing something. | |

| 3 hours labor and a hund for the plugs is what they are charging you for. there are 16 plugs to change so it is time consuming, but i would save your $ and do it yourself. | |

Same here. I just replaced them with the OEM Champion plugs. | |

| No way would I pay them $400 to do plugs. Def worth doin' on your own. | |

| You get the Plugs I can help ya out installing. Done mine like 5x now.. I in Plainfield and have heated garage. | |

| Do it yourself. I did mine for the first time this summer. Used OEM Champion copper core plugs. Bought everything I needed from a local NAPA auto parts store. Be sure to buy the dielectric grease and the anti-sieze grease when you buy the plugs. You will also need a swivel-head socket to get at a few of the plugs on the passenger side of the engine bay. All in all, it cost me about $70 for supplies and about 3 hours of my time. Probably could have done it faster but I took frequent breaks.
Consider cleaning out your throttle body at the same time you do you plugs. | |
