| i have been working on the cars a bit today on my day off. for the last 3 months i have been thinking my painter used way too much silver flake in the fresh paint on the front of the Charger. it just looked way too silver. turns out i think that it really just needed more buffing. i am getting the front bumper ready to put the 3m clear bra back on when it gets warm enough and i was pretty generous with the use of the buffer and some turtlewax rubbing compound today. when i wiped off the residue to my surprise it was looking much more black. I'm pretty happy about that. just have to put the clear bra back on Friday night or Saturday morning to give it enough time to dry before the track day. good thing i have Saturday off this week. i have to mount up a pair of 315/35/20 NT05 drag radials i got used also. might have to pick up a new jack so i can change them at the track.. also started to fix some of the paint flaws on the truck so i can sell it. hopefully i can finish that on Saturday as well. i hope the MS1K computer and tune comes in for the caliber by then also so i can install that Saturday. | |

| Just got back from the first test drive after putting the MS1kb PCM tune in my Caliber SRT4. hats off to Realtune for having such an awesome product. power increase aside, the way it smoothed out transitions to second gear going around a turn at lower speeds is amazing. the part throttle torque increase and throttle response alone is worth the price in my opinion. supposed to be near 320hp/360tq at the crank now. its is spiking at 19lbs of boost and holding at 17.5lbs. factory was spiking 10 and holding 8. having no torque or boost limiters in low gears is awesome now.

| put some new spark plugs in the Caliber when we were working on cars at a friends house today. it needed one step colder plugs for the new tune. figured i would take some new pics of the car while it was clean. i just put new tail lights on the back and eye lids on the front lights. it has come a long way in the short time i have owned it i think. lets see in the last few weeks it has gotten... - Realtune MS1 killer 19psi PCM & tune - K&N intake - Bwoody check valve - Bwoody front motor mount - 1 step colder NGK iridum spark plugs - mostly de-badged - front emblem changed to viper emblem off my truck - smoked LED tail lights - eye lids - anodized red lug nuts - new 245/40/19 bridgestones - SRT grill badge - removed front plate bracket and put black push pins in the holes

| some day off modding... my car is too low for grip rockers and i always wanted them. i happened to get some EZlip cheap from Zach so i started to play around with it. if i don't like it i can always peel it right back off. its rubbery foam with 3m adhesive. i added some before the rear wheel on the rockers. if you scroll up in the thread to the photo edit i did you can see the right edge of my front lip has been covered in stickers. that was to hide a scrape that was on it from when my pops dropped a weed wacker on it in the garage last year. i decided to wrap the sides with brilliant black vinyl and put more clear bra back over the top of it to hide it instead. then i just put one of the stickers back on cause i like it. it looks much cleaner than it did. next to add EZlip to the front of the Caliber and i will be done for the day. | |
