Yeah a lift would be better because you would need some clearance especially if you are doing the rear sway since the cradle needs to be dropped.

i don't think i would want to do it in a driveway but it can be done. the most important thing you need is a compressor with impact tools and sockets, a swivel, and a set of ratcheting wrenches. (the ones that are small like crescent wrenches)

They arent that expensive about $3500.00 for something decent. If i had the overhead room in my garage I would have done it already.

At my friends house, where I use the lift. We turned an old corn crib into a full service shop. Stainless sink, bathroom, lift. welder and air/water hoses mounted on reels above. Tool benches, tool cabinets, every power tool on the planet. It has an inside shooting bench/window. I built his shooting range with a Komatsu dozer and a 10 wheeler dump and a K5 backhoe. This place I prefer over any conventional shop.

I think I have the clearance in my garage but it will be at least a year before I can even think about doing it.

I need help putting a new parking lock out (the pink thing). I dont have the patience to do it myself, I will wind up braking something.

I'll do it for you Shawn. I've done 3. Matt has always cracked the case and installed it. I just get it out for him. I've watched him do it enough though. If he isn't there I think between us all it can be done.
