2015 Scat Pack, 20x9" stock rims. Want to widen the rear rims 1.5" to put on 315/35/20's... Looking for an aggressive appearance and want to avoid crowning…

Need some feed back...

Thanks!

Jon

Toad will probably be best to answer this, but pretty sure Wheels America in Elk Grove can widen them. Why not just go aftermarket 20 X 9 up front and 20 X 10.5 in rear?

honestly if you widen them most shops won't mount them. welded wheels are a liability for shops. we weren't allowed to mount welded wheels.

that being said i have seen wheels done by wheels america in the past.

keep in mind widening a wheel puts all the extra width you are adding on the inboard side of the wheel. that would cause rubbing the inner wheel tubs on our cars unless you use spacers/adapters. which i don't recommend. you are better off looking into a proper offset 10.5 inch wide aftermarket wheel. expect to possibly have to roll your fenders for clearance with a tire that size as well. especially if you lower the car.

Thank you Jontoad and Shawn for the quick response.

I really like the flat black Sack Pack rims. I may just go with 305's...

Actually been researching this as well. I found two places that are very good at widening wheels, Eric Vaughn in Cali and Weldcraft Wheels in Michigan. After researching I have decided to not widen the stock wheels and just stick a 305/35/20 Drag radial on it for now. I will order a forged wheel down the road as I really like the stock wheels.

Are the Scat Packs different as my stock wheels are 20x9.5?

Saw Jon's car tonight in person and the tires he went with are perfect for it.

Car sounded so nice too when he left.
