| Ok heres the basics.... I been doing a saturday after thanksgiving shoot for quite a few yrs...
where: 1375 w goodenow rd, beecher IL (roughly....LOL its the farm on the south side of the road, look for red barns)
When: nov. 24th, 1pm
what to bring: guns and ammo (duh) more specifically we tend to do mostly trap shooting and pistols, but we can set up for some rifles if theres enough there. ALSO BRING SOME BOOTS...it can get muddy depending on the weather. Parking usually isnt muddy, just the fields can get muddy. If you have a thrower and birds, or pistol targets, please bring them.
Cost: free, if you dont have a gun and would like to shoot, post up, i am sure we will have some extra guns floating around for you to borrow. If you dont have a gun, ammo can be gotten for you at cost...with an advance warning of course...LOL
this is a family friendly event, although i ask to keep the minimum age above 10 due to safety concerns...
We do follow a very strict gun safety protocol as well. NO loaded firearms unless its in your hand.i.e. If its sitting in your car or on a blanket, IT WILL BE UNLOADED, and we ask that the breech be open to show that it is so...other than that, bring whatever guns you want, and shoot as much ammo as you want, as fast as you want...LOL
as for weather, unless it is a torrential downpour, we will be out there... We have shot in rain, sleet, and snow... Dress for the weather, as theres no indoor faculities...
I would like to have a head count for who is attending so i have a rough estimate of how many stations to set up...hope to see you guys out here!!! | |
