On the way home from the city last night I got a check engine light. I pulled up the codes on my predator this morning.

p0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank1)

p0133 Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1, Sensor1)

p2096 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean (Bank 1)

The exhaust is has been notably louder the last few days, I'm guessing I need a new catalytic convertor? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks,
bill

I don't know if I have the stomach to try that. I'm hoping to find a pair of cats cheap and weld them in. the p0420 code is one I've heard of before, how about the other two?

can anyone recommend a weld in high flow catalytic converter? I've heard enough bad stories about the mangaflow mid pipes that I don't want to go that route. Is there even a significant difference between a "high flow" and standard converter?

is there a way to check the sensors? the exhaust has been louder for a little while, so I'm assuming converter.

has anyone had their cats replaced under the 8 year/80000 emissions warranty? I want to know what kind of hoops I'd have to jump through to get it done. I have 77000 miles on the car now, so I want to get it done soon. I'm thinking I'd have to go fail an emissions test before the dealership would do any warranty work.

You say it's louder as of late. I'm guessing an exhaust leak is causing it.
