PostSubject: Limp mode!!!!   Limp mode!!!! I_icon_minitimeJune 3rd 2012, 5:33 pm

Was with a buddy Friday night and he asked me to show him what my 300 could do. Came to a light turn TC off. Hammered it on green had the rear end come out on me a little, as soon as the car corrected itself it went it to limp mode. It happened when the car was shifting in to 2nd gear. I pulled over put the car in park, then in drive and it felt fine. My engine light is on though, and when I got home and put in the garage it had a weird smell, not a burning smell. Gonna go to the dealer tomorrow and probably have to make an appt. Any ideas????

Hey Shawn I have cool diagnostic tool that I could use on your car and tell you exactly what is going on. Provided your service engine light is on, instead of paying the dealership a diagnostic fee.

Shawn, I thought if you do a. Google search for 101 challenger tips and tricks , there is a section that tells you how to get codes without a predator. Not 100 % sure it still works for 2012 cars but might be worth a try.

Shawn, I am interested if this works for the 2012's too, did you have a chance to try?

Also I have heard but can not confirm that the predator can not program a 2012 but it still can read and clear codes. But have no way to confirm if this is true or myth.

Been too busy to fuck with it. I'm not going to by a predator until tuning is available.
I will probably try the above method tomorrow after work.
