thats the hood im gonna get. good choice!! i was also debateing on a carbon fiber oem srt8 hood also. they would both end up being about the same price in the long run. the fiberglass would be another 250 to prep and paint. and the carbon fiber would run me about 800 shipped with my buddy's wholesale discount from extreme dimensions.

It's Friday about 3:30 P.M can't wait to blow this place to go home to take my hood off to get ready to pick up the CUDA hood Saturday and put it on. Man the folks at VFN are great gave us a look around the place if I had any doubt about the purchase I was about to make it was gone in a flash these guys make full size cars no lie molds of all kind were in order on racks if you live in the area stop buy and check them out back to my hood while there met the guy who made the hood told him that I was going to have my body shop cut out the back air extractor and did they have any wire so that it would match the wire in the front he told me don't worry about it they would cut it out and put the wire in no CHARGE how cool was that !!!!!!!!! SO the painter will be standing buy need to leave it on to cure and set for about two weeks. I will post fiting session tomorrow also had more pin striping done maybe my ARIA CAI will be on my door when I get home I can only hope

Two weeks seems like an awfully long time for paint to cure.

Not for the paint to cure but for the hood to settle they recommed two weeks on the hood on the car to heat and cool down. had a few problems one the cool air box on the hood was hitting the hood and raditor cap and all so the stock air box took us a min to figure in out but w/ the help D.H.I.C (lol) we made the mods he will be posting the 1st fittlng shots tonight dam it looks of the hook (slang ) for that shit looks tight (lol)

Well after a little coercion we finally got this bad boy on!! If you notice that the front driver's side near the bumper is lifted a little it's because the stock airbox sits up so high. When his new CAI shows up this week then that part of the issue ends.

Another issue is the stock coolant tank cap. That ALSO sits a little high for this hood. It hits the underside of the hood where the exit for the ram air channel is. Like I said, we coerced it a little and the fitment is great!

Oh yeah, one OTHER piece! LOL
The sides of the hood that drop down into the wells of the fenders is actually a little too tall top to bottom but that was a quick 'n easy fix.
