I think painting or getting a 6.1 set of rails is he only way to go but you would have to remove the rails for that. Go in the trunk and take out the #6 fuse (im pretty sure its #6 for the fuel pump), then start the car and it will die out. When it dies out start it again and repeat until it wont start anymore. Then the fuel lines shouldnt have anymore pressure in them. Remove the 4 screws holding the fuel rails on (2 on each side) On the clip from the fuel line to the fuel rails (passenger side on the rear of the rails) there is a clip that you have to remove. I used a small flat screwdriver to do it but be careful cuz it seems like it would break easily. When that line is off, simply pull the whole fuel rail/injector assembly off the intake manifold. It will take some effort but they will come off.

Yeah but there are clips that hold them in place. Just take a small flat screwdriver and push the clip off the injector and then pull the injector out. The fuel rails will still be full of gas so be prepared for some gas pouring out.

yes but the injectors are seated in the fuel rails...you have to remove the retaining clips off of each injector then twist and pull down at the same time and it they will come out of the fuel rails they have rubber o rings on them...

Dont be scared to give it a shot. When I first did mine, I was nervous as hell but once I got into it, i found out how easy it was. Just follow the instructions I told u. And yeah, dont lose or damage the O-rings.
