Got rid of my front license plate!

While I was down in Texas looking for house on my way thru Oklahoma I transferred my plates. I also ordered bumper plugs that Ivan told me about(Thanks Ivan) and plugged the holes. I will eventually replace it with an Magnum SRT but I like the look without the plate.

it does look nice.... but here in illinois, it is illegal to not have a front plate.

Yup it is but not in Oklahoma only one plate required.

Thanks for giving me that info Ivan. Real stand up company also I broke one of the plugs when first put it in paint cracked off. Contacted them and they sent me a replacement at no cost.

I decided to take my chances and had mine filled in and covered. Looks so much better without!

I dont have a front plate either. I will pay the $25 fine before I put holes in my fascia. I have told that too a cop and he laughed, but no ticket.

I got pulled over for speeding a few months ago and the cop was cool and just gave me a $20 tix for no plate.

awesome looks way better. i hate the front plate.

my truck has had no front plate for about 7 years and i took mine off the car last year. no problems so far and i have been pulled over a few times.

i also would rather pay a fine than have one. i have the plugs in my SRT too, but since its black i just used x-mass tree plugs from the local autozone.

lookss better without it.. i didnt put a front plate on my car either when i got my front bumper... i think im gonna use shawns method if i get pulled over... lol

i go to morris 4 times a year for the cruise nights... no problems. been pulled over there once, they didn't care about the plate.

Now you can get away with darker tint as well!!!!

I got pulled over in south barrington, asshole tried to get me for something. I asked why he pulled me over,said my car looked suspect. couldnt come up with anything so he gave me a $50 compliance ticket ...... the jag ......

Here in the rockford area the cops are pretty good about not messing with ya about a front plate.I dont run them on 2 of our cars and so far have never had a problem

Just tailgate all the time. If a cop can't see the front of your car, he can't see the lack of a front plate.

Is it considered legal in Illinois if you have it in your front window?

I dont think so. I think it has to be mounted to the front of the vehicle.

Well, my bumper has no mounting holes or bracket, and I would prefer to keep it that way.

Yeah I wouldnt put holes in it either. They make a hideaway bracket that folds away under your car for car shows and stuff. They also have magnetic brackets but who knows how strong the magnets are and if they scratch your paint.
