Srt8 suspension

Just p/u my suspension. I'm trying to wake my hillbilly neighbor up (we had a rough nite at his house). Gonna see if he can throw a couple coats of paint on my suspension before tomorrow. I wouldnt mind painting the shocks and struts silver and the springs blue.

What kind of paint would you use? To me it would seem like the paint would eventually crack and fall off....Although it would look badass if you did it like that...

Not sure, I would think maybe an enamel.

as far as suspension I have used HARDNOSE PAINT and if for any reson you want to coat it against rust,you also need to use the por-15 first ,then coat it with any topacoat....This will withstand all the hard abuse suspension goes through.I had this done to my old Neon R/T suspension in gloss black and it never chipped or faded if applied right!!!!

Thanks bro, looks like my idea isnt going to work. I wanted to do this today.

VHT makes an enamel for suspension, I saw it the other day at Advance Auto, but it's black.

Got the swap all done today, gonna post pics in the photo section right now

does it look noticeably lower than before? I'm sure the ride is better (maybe not on normal roads if he liked the cushy R/T ride but in the corners it will shine )

Ya its sits lower, about an inch. I'm really happy with the look and the ride. The drop is exactly what I had in mind, and it felt alot better driving home. It took us like 3hrs including doing the alighnment. I also learned alot today too, never new shit about suspension after today i would feel pretty confident trying it myself.

Yeah, the rear was ALOT easier then I expected, the front, no problem at all as well

Exactly, now I know how to do mine as well with the Eibach springs I got

that's all i wanna do is springs so my new rims and tires fill the wheel wells

i should be ordering my sways as soon as my tax return gets direct deposited. i filed friday. im gonna get the Stack Performance Chubby's cause they don't squeek like the hotchkis ones and are stiffer.

wish i would have had the sways for today since it was so nice out i could have got the car out of the garage and drove her up there, but i didn't want to stretch myself since i had to pay for my new rims and tires yesterday.

From today's experience, it should go in quick and easy bro

Yeah man, we could do that, maybe once my car is back together, and you get "the goods" and if Jessie has his as well, we could do another shop/suspension swap day, hell, I don't mind, we can bust it out

Mine MIGHT not be back together that soon, BUT we could do everybody else's before mine, I got ALOT to do still LOL
