Exhaust Rattle????

Recently removed suitcase and put in summit racing mufflers and still have reso's on. When driving like a citizen (slow takeoff) I hear what seems to be the mufflers rattling or vibrating. When driving aggresively no rattle or vibration. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe putting a brace between the 2 mufflers to maybe stiffen up the mufflers but not sure if thats the cure or should I be looking at something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

It sounds like the exhaust is hitting on the cross member that is just below the exhaust. It is the little black bar that is held on by 2 bolts. You can remove the bolts and add a couple of washers on each one and that will give more of a gap between it and the exhaust which will stop it from rattling.

Well in turned out to be the 2 mufflers barely touching each other on the inlet side so when taking off slowly the 2 would vibrate together....a few quick hits with the welder to weld them together in the front fixxed it all and no more rattle, just sweet hemi gurgle. Again thanks for the advice everyone.

Glad to hear it worked out.. Bet she sounds real good now that you're not focusing on the rattle..
