On my 06 SRT, I swapped the stock mufflers for flowmaster 50 series and left everything else. It sounded good, I had LTs so that helped the exhaust note too.

I just had Naperville exhaust works build me a cat back exhaust using all 3 inch pipes, no resonaters, and dual magnaflow oval mufflers. It was like 650 installed.
