He tried with mine on Friday, and everything he tried to do caused detonation and the onboard computer kept pulling out timing. Just a Public Service Announcement..you must run 91 or 93.

Is 92 octane bad on a 93 tune? Last night on news thet said gas prices will be down by at least a dollar within a month.tdau i saw a 10 cent difference I almost busted a nut in my pants .

Oil is under 98 bucks a barrel now. I wonder if the gas prices will change to reflect this as fast as they went up NOT!!

yes it is bad will cause detonation in the motor change back down to 91 tune and run 92 gas and you should be ok...

Yeah you really don't want to put lower octane on a higher octane tune if you can help it.
But then again how much do we really trust they are giving that octane when they say they are

I only did it a few times but it was only a splash heree aand there

This is true which is why i still dont run a 93 tune... and i only run shell gas i will not put anything else in my car...

Hmmm I live near Indiana and while gas prices aren't as bad as they are in the city it's up there. A bunch of places have 93 gas don't think I have ever seen 91 or 92 around here in years.

i also heard this. what i heard is they speculate 3.50 to lower 3 dollar range is coming. not sure i believe it but that's the word on the street (a.k.a.- what i hear on the radio of cars when I'm pulling them into and out of the shop. lol.)

they have to give in sometime or people are just going to not drive .then we will be over-stocked on oil.......

Remember the oil prices that you see are the front month contracts. It's June oil prices, which won't have much effect on May contracts until they expire. We have been in what's called an oil contango.

A contango is when the investor or producer puts the commodity into storage waiting for the prices to improve-before selling. Markets get into contango when the prices don't reflect the actual value of the commodity. In other words, if the investors feel that they could get better returns, say, after six months, they store the commodity instead of selling it immediately. This is called contango.

OIL prices WILL be coming down soon, as all of the stored supply is exhausted. When? Who knows.

cheap gas (87 octane at like a thorntons) in cook county is like $4.45

lol, I have been investing for a long time. I hedge the gas prices at the pump by investing in oil and gas services companies. I think that buying oil and storing it to sell later at an inflated price should be banned, because it affects all of the people in a tough economy and could cause a double dip recession. These fuckers bought oil at 80 bux and paid 20 bux per barrell to store it at 100 bux. Now they are selling it at 120 bux at a 20 dollar per barrell profit. It should be regulated.

Filled up today for the first time in almost two weeks and the car wasn't on E but it was close. $75 to top it off. Crazy.
