| Gas is a little cheaper down here but I will continue to use my custom dyno tune with 93. Sucks but I guess its the price we pay for the mods we do and cars we drive. I wouldn't have it any other way. | |

| Dropping down to 87 or 89 is saving you how much money??? 93 cost 20-30 cents more per gallon, which comes out to about $4-6 bucks a fill up. I wont sacrafice performance for $4-6 bucks a week. Besides I dont think I could de-tune with a cam. | |

It is not as if I am racing Charger or Chally and you need to remember I have both of those gas hogs to feed. I haven't detuned yet but still may if it keeps going up. I would think you could not go back to stock tunes with mods like heads cam etc so this is really just for the guys that tune with the pred and have no real performance boosters such as cam heads etc. Just putting it out there who else may be thinking of this also

| I will never drop mine back down and i wouldnt run lower octane fuel even if i was detuned... the manual still states you should run 89 and some places that is the middle grade anyways... so what is the difference...
My truck costs at 4 dollars around 65 to 70 to fill it and i have to do that twice a week... i wish i was driving my tuned magnum that is getting around 20 miles to the gallon compared the the truck that is getting 14.3
MDS what is that i havent had that in 2-3 years... doesnt do shit for me my car has never really gone into it...

| no, i don't even consider it. why put all that money into the car just to cheap out on the cheapest upgrade. (10 cents a gallon)
buy one less mod this year or take a lunch to work one more time a week to make up the difference in fuel grades.

| Sooooo....not to hijack the thread, but I was wondering:
Why do they call 89 for the R/Ts? Because you can get by with it, or because it truly needs it?
FYI, for anyone running 89 and contemplating a predator: Tim @ Mr. Norm's and I learned the hard way that you CAN'T tune an R/T running 89. He tried with mine on Friday, and everything he tried to do caused detonation and the onboard computer kept pulling out timing. Just a Public Service Announcement..you must run 91 or 93.

| Yeah I'd say the same what most would say, "Drive smart." You can still have the tune don't mash the gas and you'll be getting decent gas milage. And if you do have some extra cash just mash it when you feel giddy. | |

| Today making two trips from Crown point to Gary I watched the gas prices drop from 4.35 at 10am to 4.29 at about 2pm and to 4.19 at 4 pm
except in the City of Crown Point it stayed at 4.35 all day
