I gotta figure out what to do to get her faster (aside from buying a hemi)...
I read some things about gas being too rich and wonder if that's the issue. Most bone stock V6 can pull the same times as I did and I have the CAI, dual exhaust and Predator, what gives.
I run the 93 tune with 93 gas and I added an octane booster, maybe that was too much???
Maybe I should try the 91 tune with 93 gas and see if it makes a difference. Also, what should my tire pressure be on my 20's?? They are at 45psi and someone told me that's too much, should they be more around 30? Would that make a diference?
OK, now that I'm hooked I need to go as faxt as my little 6 can go!!!!

tire pressure will make a difference on how quickly your tires warm up but probably won't help a whole lot in the actual race. Have you set your wheel size with the predator? I noticed a slight change with my predator tune once i told it my tire size. You can also adjust your WOT fuel and WOT spark with the predator too, to get a hotter spark and more fuel to burn. I understand the theories of racing and what to do, but for never doing it, im just kinda shooting at the breeze on some of this. Also if you torque up your engine as the tree starts going... you can eliminate that slight delay in throttle response. Ill be honest... a lot of things can be done... but remember... shaving tenths of a second can be pretty difficult.

Should WOT Fuel and spark be set higher?

Tom, Premium fuel burns colder than regular. It won't give you any performance gains. It's a safety to prevent knock in the motor. Use 93 oct. and try the 91 tune, your motor might like it better.
Tues. night I ran 35 lbs. in my dr's and I had 1.8xx launches. Wed. night I lowered to 25lbs. and got 1.7xx launches. You have to find that sweet spot in pressure. Try 32 lbs. and see if it launches better. If you can mash the peddle and not get tire spin then your good to go. Just experiment.

The delay is the electronic throttle.... I've noticed that with our 6's, if you raise the engine revs before lauch to about 1300-1500rpms, then instead of just mashing the pedal, just do a smooth but quick push on the gas pedal you'll feel the car pull nicely... you could also try removing the the spare tire, and various other weight adders before racing... try taking out the back seat when racing haha

DMan and I were there last night. Got a couple vids of Dan pounding a G8. Had fun meeting some of Dan's students and hanging out, racing. I saw 1 of his students with a GTR run an 11.1. I finally won the trophy race. That pontiac that Dan whooped was in it. I wanted him in the finals because his plate read I8AHEMI. He never made it to the finals.
