Street Tires Only Night @ GLD

Tuesdays - Street Tire Only Night
Cost to race: $20
Tuesday night at GLD is the night for street cars. The purpose of this night is to drive your car to the track and be able to race with other people who have ETs similar to yours... without having to be intimidated by big tire, 9 second race cars. This is also the perfect night for beginners to come to the track, because you won't feel like "you're getting in the way" of anybody, and the track staff, as well as other racers, will be able to help you learn.
The track is prepped well for 12 second and slower cars on street tires. If you have a 7 second trailer car on slicks, this is not the night for you. To sum this night up in a sentence:
"I just wanna drive my car to the track, make 10 time runs, eat a burger and drive home, without any hassle."

Went up there tonight with Tom and Teri, Brian and Deb. Had fun and got my new PB.......13.621 @ 102.95. Tom made it all the way to the finals for the trophy run and jumped the gun Great job anyway Tom!

Ha ha, I kicked that Blown Shelby in the ass. I had the handicap advantage, but waived it for a straight up race for the trophy.(he asked me to) My foul was an 0.01 difference and I beat him anyway. lol.

I red lighted, but I beat him outright. If I wouldn't have red lighted I would've won anyway because he broke out of his dial in time of 12.20. Sandbagger

Agreed. Brian would benefit from a better r/t and 60'. For every .10th you knock off on your 60' you gain .2 at the other end off of your et. I saw him lose that race against a Camaro that he coulda beaten like a step child if he had only one of those things better. I know next time he will be more comfortable and be able to dial in better. It's nerve wracking at that starting line!
