| I put this together using five different exposures & photomatix software....The scene isn't the greatest but I was just trying to see if it would work first before I try to get creative with some shots! Let me know what ya'll think! Thanks, Anthony | |

| WIkipedia explains it best for ya guys...Thanks for looking! Basically takes all the light in the photo and all of the contrast in the photo and combines them together for one cool looking photo In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques or photographic prints. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.[1] The two main sources of HDR imagery are computer renderings and merging of multiple photographs, which in turn are known as low dynamic range or LDR images.[2] Tone mapping techniques, which reduce overall contrast to facilitate display of HDR images on devices with lower dynamic range, can be applied to produce images with preserved or exaggerated local contrast for artistic effect. | |

| How do I know if my camera can do it? Or do all cameras have the ability you just have to have the software? | |

| most all cameras have the ability to do it. Just have to figure out how to change the exposure on your camera and have a tripod. O yeah, and either Photomatix or photoshop in order to merge the multiple images.... | |

| Looks real good Anthony. I've seen a lot of HDR's that are WAY overdone. You did a nice job of keeping it looking real.
Another really cool effect to try out sometime is the "Orton Effect" (no, has nothing to do with Kyle Orton). Google it sometime and you'll find plenty of instructional sites that give you different ways to do it. You need photoshop or some similar program to do it. It's worth checking out. | |
