Wasn't even sure where to post this.

Anyone ever changed out the latch assembly on the trunk before? Something in it broke so its gotta be replaced.

Whats the issue, it wont stay closed?
Sometimes just a few squirts of WD40 will fix the issue, depending on whats wrong.

No it won't open. The key stopped working like 3 years ago so I have been just using the button in the cabin. Well the other day I hit the button heard it make the unlock noise but the truck would not open. Had to climb in and use the kidnapped handle to open it. There was a big piece of plastic sitting in the hook on the bottom part of the latch so I am thinking, and others, that a piece inside the latch that is actually on the deck lid broke.

I ordered a new latch, it came in today and Scot has volunteered to swap it out for me so HOPEFULLY that fixes it. So we have something else to do at mod night I guess.
