Famous Freddie's Meet *date moved new thread created*

In addition to our awesome trophy we won for club participation at the show on Saturday we won gift certificates to Famous Freddie's Roadhouse.  We have to use them within the next two weeks or we will lose them so here is the plan.

The Bears have a bye week this Sunday so figured it might be a good time to hang out.  

Drink specials for Sunday (their other two specials will not be in play since the Bears are not playing)

$2.50 22oz Miller Lite Drafts
$10 6 bottle Miller Lite Pony Buckets
$5 Absolut Bloody Mary w/ Miller Lite Chaser
$7.50 Antipasto Bloody Mary w/ Chaser


They open at 11 am so I was thinking we get there around 11:30 am so we can get settled before the other football games start.  

We have two certificates and each will get us a heaping plate of Buffalo Wings and a pitcher of Miller Lite.  We also have two certificates for $10 each to go towards the bill. So thinking I will just use them to buy more starters if everyone agrees to that.  

We can eat lunch and just hang out and leave as the day goes on, nothing really planned just a fun day.  I will be reaching out to them if this is a go to let them know we are coming in so they can prepare.  The place looks huge, 300 seats, 2 stories, right on the water.  If people want to do a cruise later maybe one of the locals up that way can help us out with that. <cough adam>


Meeting place is going to be Jewel Osco 1350 U.S. 12, Fox Lake, IL. Famous Freddie's is 2 miles from there up 12.  Meet at Jewel at 11:15 am roll out at 11:30 am.


I know this is a drive for those in the southern areas so if you can't make it I understand.  I need to know by Thursday October 30th if you are in for sure and how many people will be coming.  I need to get a count to them on Friday.


IF the 9th is a better date let me know and I can adjust.  The times will be the same since the Bears play that night and I am sure everyone wants to be home or at their local place to watch that game.

Do they have to be used on a Sunday? Just thinking a Sat evening/night might be better.

I picked Sun for the peeps I know that work on Saturdays. But if others want a different day just suggest it.

I was just thinking Sat evening/night for people  like me that like to drink and go out on Saturdays. Not many people here work Sundays so was just thinking it might work out better for some people.

I know if we go Sat night it does raise the chance of it being more busy but I guess if I give them enough notice they can figure it out. That knocks Adam and Jon out for sure I know they work on Saturday until 5 pm at least.

I will need to check to see if they have anything planned on the 1st for Halloween. The Blackhawks play at 6 so we will need to get there around 5/530 I am thinking. There are a couple late college games I want to see as well.

Anyone other than Shawn or James want to voice their opinions before I change this to Saturday.

James to make it up to you I will plan something in March down near Merrillville.

Count us in. And James no you don't have to watch them but I bet we can get the Raiders in tv and watch them lose

U don't have to change it for me, lol. Was just throwing it out there to gather others thoughts. If u did it on a Sat at like 6ish maybe those 2 could make it. I'm sure we would be there till 9-10.

This weekend is bad for me either day so the 9th would be better for me. That said, I understand it's better to use them than lose them and we can't accommodate everyone. Just a couple more thoughts, with boating season over, Saturday night shouldn't be too crowded there. Also why not just all meet in the Famous Freddy parking lot rather than the Jewel first?

Made a new thread, going to do this on Sunday the 9th. With all the Halloween stuff this coming weekend its better to just move it to the following weekend. Locking this thread but the new one has already been made.
