| Four years of CAMM. Wow.
Created June, 3, 2009 1:01 pm CST
I was not around for the creation, but I found my way over shortly after. I have watched this place grow from a few members to now 818 registered people. I know not all are active but its great to see there is at least interest and hopefully in the coming years the number of active members will equal the number of registered.
But the active members on here are the reason this place is what it is. We are a family, not just random people that happen to like the same brand of cars. We have a love and a passion for these "pieces of metal, er umm plastic too" that brought us all together and keeps us together.
Like any family we have gone through growing pains, fights, celebrations, good times, and bad times. Its only been a short time since CAMM has went through its lowest point, when Vic passed away in March. He was such a pillar around here I was unsure of how things would be going forward. Things are different, they always will be, but we are moving forward. Bringing more into our family and growing. No one will ever replace Vic and for the new members that never got to meet him I am truely sorry that you missed the opprotunity but you will hear so many stories about him you will feel like you knew him.
Fortunately for us the good times have outweighed the bad. There have been road trips, dyno days, track days, car shows, cruise ins, mod nights, and random sightings. We have stood united against the dirty Mustang full of McDonald's bags and the award winning zip tie sporting Cobalt. We have won at shows, set new bests at tracks, rolled through small towns and watched people look at our cars with wide open mouths. All of our rides are uniquely ours, I cannot think of two cars in CAMM that look exactly the same. We had four black Challengers lined up side by side last year at Mopars at the Park and I could tell each one apart. I love seeing everything people do to their rides, down to the smallest detail.
I would like to thank each of you for signing up and coming here when the time allows. Even if you never make it to a show or a meetup you are still on here contributing to the knowledge base were creating about our Mopars. Hoping our missing members come back and the ones that never came back after siging up join us as well.
Here is to four of the most interesting years of my life and to many many more.
Thank you all.
Since today we have been around four years I would like anyone that would like to share post up your favorite CAMM memory.

| My favorite CAMM memory... 2 weeks after we bought the chally I went to pick up my daughter at the train station here in Harvard. I'm sitting at a stop sign and Vic, Jackie and Jesse drove by waving . I was so shocked to see their cars go by in this little shithole of a town. I thought I was the only one in this area that had a cool car LOL. So anyway they drive by and didn't card me . A month later we went to the Woodstock car show in the square( i wasn't in it, just a spectator). And low and behold.... there was Vic, Jackie and Jesse's cars there!! I ran over all excited and checked them out. Then I grabbed a CAMM card off of Jackie's car and went home and signed up. Best decision ever!! You guys are great. We feel so fortunate to have met so many wonderful people that share our passion. And that friendship and passion grows every day. Happy Birthday CAMM . And here's to many more!!! | |

| happy Birthday CAMM.... my best memory would probably the overwhelming feeling of Hemi envy i felt after my first gathering with the group.... so much so that it wasn't shortly after the Lake Geneva cruise (like a week later) that I went out and traded in the Black 3.5 for a 2011 R/T.... and its been a blast ever since! | |

| Happy Birthday CAMM! Prolly best memory was doing the convoy to my first car show out for the Unlawful Gathering Spring 2010. Met a lot of people there and met actual CAMM members for the first time. | |

| Happy Birthday CAMM!!!!! Hmmmmmm hard to say my best memory, there are SO many to be honest. It HAS grown into such a family, like Crystal said. It's really a good feeling to know we all have each others' back when we really need.
Here's a memory that was recently brought back up...... Couple years back when I managed a shop in Round Lake, I hosted a CAMM "shop day" on a sunday where people could come and do things to their cars and use the lifts at the shop, do oild changed, alignment, stuff like that. Well I had some stuff called Liquid Ass, pretty much smells like you are holding som cow shit in you're hand lol Well needless to say it was brought out and sprayed in various places... and well various people LoL One of the best gathering with SO many laughs that day, the whole crew was there as well... good times.

| Memories........ So many and to choose just one 'favorite' is next to impossible. I have to say that I always knew that the people here felt like family but I truly felt the love when Vic passed away. Jesse was one of the first people from CAMM to show up at my door followed closely by Crystal and Kristie making the trip from Plainfield and Joliet just to support me and Nick. It makes me cry just thinking about it. So many members came to the funeral service that I never even met, but just exchanged messages with and even those that only may have met us once. I felt so loved. Thank you. We are truly family and I am so grateful for the love and support, not just from CAMM, but the entire car community......MMA, CMC, Northern IL Streeters,....the list goes on and on. I can't say that it is a favorite memory, because, well, it was the worst day of my life but you all have helped me so much in the last 3 months with ANYTHING that I have needed, even if it is just a shoulder to cry on. I don't know what I would do or where I would be without any of you. CAMM is more than just a car club to me. It is where I find my comfort on the days I'm missing Vic the most. You are all keeping his memory alive for me, with me. I need that sometimes since my life has changed so much sometimes I need to be reminded what it was like when he was here. Sorry to be so sappy but ......... I love you all. | |
