A lot smaller than last year. I got in free thru my buddies motorcycle shop, would have been disappointed if I paid $17. Probably only a 3rd of the vendors that are usually their. The 3 bat-mobiles were kool to see, Pat and a Chally were the only modern Mopars. Chally was no biggie, Vic would have killed him. One thing that did catch my eye and me personally thought it was kool being that I am a product of Chicago Public Schools. Dunbar Vocational HS on the south side, has an auto shop, and they pulled some strings and got a body shop put in to their auto shop at the school. These kids took a older Saab and bagged it, put rims on it, sound system, gucci inserts on the doors, painted it, and cut holes in the hood and fenders to make it look like custom vents. A lot of the build was made possible with sponsors. Granted you can tell it was a half ass job, but not that bad, it kept these kids off the street and had them doing something with their life. These kids come from a rough ass area and could be out in the streets hustling, but instead they are learning things that will hopefully be useful in life. I talked with their teacher for about an hour, and spoke with some of the kids involved with the build, and you know what, good for them!!! They won the bullshit "thank you for coming" award, but you should have seen how excited they were. 3/4 of the people that walked past their car just looked at them like "look at these ghetto fucks with this piece of shit" when it was the complete opposite. I told their teacher next year they better have 3-4 cars in the show!!!!

Damn, I went out with my girl and a buddy and his wife. Me and the girl were planning on going today but went out with them instead.

Last year it seemed like every corner you walked around was another wearhouse filled with cars or vendors, almost never ending.

Shawn you're right about those kids, good for them. Plus you know at least a few of them will become mechanics and pos work on those peoples cars that just walked pass them.

Thats cool. I thought that it was smaller than previous years. There were some cool things though.
