I had a great time today, besides it being rather hot... some very beautiful cars, and some very fast, loud ones too, just what you'd expect at a drag strip. Everyones car looked great, and congrats to Jon and Crystal on your tropies!!

only Tom. it was too damn hot for good times. track temp was 130. one car burnt down. tom still managed a 11.89 i think it was in this heat.
they made it too expensive to do the show and race. if you did both it was 50 bux, and we were too damn hot to wait for the free lap the show cars get.
my buddy pete managed a 12.4 in his dakota r/t and he threw the belt off the blower before the end of the track and was hitting the rev limiter the last 200 feet. he has too much gear now that its supercharged. i think he has 11's in better air for sure.

Thanks ya'll. By time we got to awards we were all so ready to go, plus the cheese castle was calling our names.
Was not exactly thrilled with the track and the guy running the show at first yesterday. I guess the guy Jon talked to on FB forgot to tell the guy running the show about the new classes so our classes were not on the voting ballot. Which is understandable when you add new classes FOUR days before a show. They came through, the guy running the show was very nice and they ended up judging our cars themselves. We also had tons of people asking us why they couldn vote for our car (ok so Jackies car) and we told them the situtiation and they just wrote in their votes. So hopefully next year we will be a legit class.
It was a fun day and between the shade tree and the Mopar tent we were pretty well covered. Nice breeze just sucked when you had to walk around but looking at all the Mopars totally made it worth it.
Here are the few pics I took.
Jon wanted a pic of his car in front of the cheese castle, I thought he as just going to pull in front..... the old people driving up to see if it was open yet were SO confused. I was dying laughing in my car so I forgot to zoom in.
Jon's pic (took from your FB page dude)
Wrong way Rob has arrived:
I slacked and didn't take too many at the show, ok well one....
