First wanna say thanks to Tom for gettin all the work done on his ride....

got himself a beefy tranny just when my was going bad.... so I was able to put his in mine!!! (didnt know a SRT would even go in a RT)

so Tim did a tune for me acouple weeks ago (and it was awesome!!!)...

I noticed between 2nd and 3rd my car was surging...( NO it wasnt from the tune...tune has nothing to do with tranny...my tranny had the famous leak, then TONS of stop and go driving, like 7 dynos...and then a boulder hit under my car...and alot of the 06 tranny have gone bad!!!)

Tim right away knew it was the tranny failing.... so before I got stuck somewhere...
Tim was great and got me in right away to put Toms tranny into my ride.... Very Happy cheers

was a brilliant idea and saved me huge $$$$$$

took her easy on the way home...got her upto a good speed slowly and she handled beautiful...

so TOM and Tim ...HUGE THANKS TO YOU!!!!!
you dont know how much I appreciate it!!!

and if anyone thats doesnt know already...Tim and Mr.Norms...does FANTASTIC work on our rides...so if ya looking for something get ahold of them!!!!! you will be happy you did!

That's awesome. Glad you got your "new" trans for a great deal. We are very lucky to have such an incredible shop like Mr. Norms so close by and Tim's expertise. And especially glad for Tom because he keeps them in business.

The transmissions are the same on the 5.7 and 6.1.. Good deal on the replacement tho. Now no more rock climbing in your Charger and you should be good for awhile! thumbsup

I know the mount was the same but I thought the gear ratio was slightly different. I remember reading somewhere that you can put an SRT rear end on an R/T but it still wont be the exact same as the SRT because of the gearing in the trans. Thats not true?

A NAG1 is a NAG1, regardless of being bolted to the 5.7 or the 6.1 in the LX. Jeep is different, obviously. I don't see anything in the service manual that implies any difference, atleast not on a 2006 or 2007.

Maybe someone could arrange for a tranny to be there for you when you arrive.
