Great Lakes tt

April 1 GLD opens. Free tt for anyone interested. I'm going and I'll probably go again on Sat. too, but to Byron. Planning on running 93 pump gas on the 1st. and if they have some fresh gas delivered to the track, race gas on Sat. Tim plans on being there too, to make some license passes. Should be a good time!

I was thinking of going Sat. To Great Lakes for the fun of it. I have a buddy of mine with a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. Turbo 4IL....

So let me ask this question re the strip

When you run your cars there do you have to drain the coolant & fill with water to run ?

I would think so but just had to ask.

^^^No you don't. I don't see the need too. Most of the time the line are so long that your car tends to cool off.If not you hot lap and try to get the best time possible.You cam go to the extreme and put bags of ice on top of your manifold or install a 180* T-stat plus a switch to run both fans constantly...

damn i got excited. when talking about racing TT = Tourist Trophy. it means racing on shut down public roads through towns and stuff...

he means Test and Tune. its a phrase that just means the strip is open for the public to run. kinda like an open swim at the pool.

Bill, we were both going for tt Fri. and Sat. Fri. looks to be a rainout. I'm going Sat. if Byron is open and not rained out. Tim was going, but the car won't be ready until Tues. when he dynos. Then we are hauling ass to Vegas for some tt at Mopars at the strip.
