| The other day I went to River Front Dodge/Chrysler (Aurora) to get an oil change and tire rotate done. While I was waiting for the car, I visited their parts department and decided to order a new chin spoiler for my '06 R/T. Turns out they had one in stock but for some reason the fasteners were missing. They reduced the price ($115) to $80 so I bought it. I figured I could get the fasteners I need from an autoparts store. Actually, instead of plastic rivots, I was thinking of using stainless bolts and washers. Any thoughts? Did I make a mistake buying this thing without the OEM fasteners? Anybody out there done this to their car or willing to help me for beer? Jay | |

| i would think plastic fasteners would be much nicer to the bumper if you hit the lip on a curb parking. id rather the fasteners beak away and be the weak point than crack the bumper cause it was on so good. | |

| My chin spoiler from Danko uses steel bolts and washers. Works fine. | |

| It's probably ok either way, but I think Jon has a point. Plastic fasteners would be the preferred method to avoid having to replace both. That's the reason that they are on there. | |
