i have a voltage regulator on mine... protects your lights by controlling max voltage the rings can see. excess voltage will overheat and pop LED lights. our cars don't run at 12 volts all the time and starting the car spikes the voltage too.

Flashtech... Head Bang Jerk Off they should include regulators... also they need to cut the dual LED halos down by about 3 LEDS so you dont have to cut slits in the housing...realize that when people order 2 different colors that 2 regulators are required (red 7v and the white are 10v), also check people orders before they send em out!!!...and acouple other things... bad customer service!! They need help fixing that company!

AAC all the way!!! thumbsup

I still say bullshit! Regulator is not needed. I dont have one, I run my halos everytime I drive my car, and I rock the fuck out of my music with the halos on. 2 yrs no problems (knock on wood).

I know you say bullshit, and I still say I'm going to trust a guy with 30-some years as an electrician on the topic. Any guy who sends something like THIS with my halo kit, I'm going to trust is serious about his work. I mean really...he custom built this and THIS is what's in my car now:

And then he includes THIS. quality!:

AAC's customer service sucks too. We waited Forever! to get ours and when we did get them, they were WRONG! Had to send them back and wait forever again.

I agree that both companies have issues.

Good Luck Okie. If you need a garage, ours is open.

I will need to get something setup with our halo experts when I get them. I am trying to get a set of headlights together so I can have an extra set just in case.

Bingo. When you install, put a meter on that regulator and make sure it's dialed into the voltage of your rings, which should be written on the envelope each ring came in.
