| We made a quick trip to San Diego this past Wednesday and got back today. My son David was supposed to graduate from boot camp- but was dropped because his thumb was partially amputated. He got 2 days liberty and we took advantage of it by flying out there to see him. WOW!!! Has he changed!! His thumb is almost 100% healed. He is in great spirits and almost ready to re-join another platoon. The weather out there was awesome. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were sunny and in the mid to high 70's. Here's a couple of pics: My favorite:  Near the parade deck:  I have passed along everyone's prayers, well wishes and good thoughts. He says "Thank you all VERY much, it has helped during my recovery!" | |
