JUDGING CRITERIA FOR OVERALL CATEGORIES (110 points)
EXTERIOR (20 Points Max)

Judges will be looking for exterior accessories or modifications such as, but not limited to, lip kits or body kits, mirror, fenders, lighting, hoods and other body panels, as well as body work which may include shaving, molding, wide body, hinge modifications, etc.

Judges will do their best to evaluate the fit and finish of the vehicle, as well as the materials used to complete the modifications. All mounting hardware should be as hidden as much as possible, akin to the factory installation. Judges will rate quality over quantity.

Uniqueness of product will be taken into consideration as the judges respect ingenuity and creativity. Heavily modified products that cannot be purchased by the average consumer, handcrafted components developed specifically for a vehicle, or heavy modifications to general market parts are all considered unique modifications.


INTERIOR (20 Points Max)

A show vehicle should be immaculate. All interior panels and upholstery should be free of rips, cracks, scratches, stains or other noticeable flaws. All interior pieces should be properly cleaned, free of hard dust and dirt. In the main cabin, various accessories will be accounted for. From interesting air fresheners, to custom lights, upgraded steering wheels, pedals, dashboard modifications, gauges, harnesses and any other notable accessories/modification.

If the upholstery is modified, the style and material type will be taken into consideration during the judge evaluation. Judges will examine pattern usage, custom seat type and take note of any panels that were modified and upholstered.

All audio equipment will be evaluated in this section. The quality of components chosen as well as the installation will be reviewed.

Uniqueness of product will come into play in evaluating the components used to create the interior. Dash swaps or conversions, custom fiberglass work, custom paint work, roll cages, gauge cluster modifications and custom speaker boxes will be taken into account.


PERFORMANCE (20 Points Max)

From the engine to the suspension, judges will evaluate the performance aspect of the vehicle. Even though it’s the engine compartment, this is a car show contest, and it is expected to be in pristine showroom condition.

Modifications to the engine and suspension are not limited to speed parts; dress-up pieces are taken into account as well. If the vehicle has a custom turbo with an advanced stand-alone engine control unit, the judges will expect that everything is installed in a manner that appears to be factory. Modifications, such as engine swaps, forced inductions, and custom engine work will be rewarded more than basic bolt-on components. Participants should detail all the modifications to their vehicle so that judges can properly evaluate vehicle performance. If there is unique reasoning behind the combination of components used, that information can be included as well.

Uniqueness of product will be taken into account. If a turbo-kit is custom made and properly installed, it will achieve more points than an off the shelf kit. Foreign market engine swaps and suspension alterations will also be heavily rewarded.


WHEELS & TIRES (20 Points Max)

Judges will evaluate your tire and wheels on a number of fronts. Cleanliness is extremely important overall, front to back, outer and inner barrels, wheel center, and nuts and bolts. Technical aspects such as bolt patterns, surface finish, coloring, and fitment to the wheel wells and body lines will be considered. Make sure that the wheels fit your fenders and are appropriately backspaced and offset properly to fill your wheel wells. Attention to detail is crucial. Rarity of your wheel set will also give you high marks, but also a custom built wheel with your own style is what judges want to see.

If your wheels are upgraded, judges expect that your tires should be as well. They will make sure that the tire sizes match up with the widths of your wheels. Judges will also look highly upon those vehicles that are running a performance tire compared to an all purpose tire.


OVERALL APPREANCE & THEME (20 Points Max)

The overall appearance will be the judges opinion of how all the modifications come together and whether or not it is an original show piece. Does it have features that make it stand out from the rest of the competition? The judges will find out. Any vehicle that not only has a great overall visual appearance but has executed a unique theme will be handsomely rewarded in this category. Make sure your vehicle’s theme is properly incorporated into the display. You only get one chance to make a first impression – this is the key when presenting your car to the judges.

B96 FLAIR (10 Points Max)

It’s the B96 SummerBash Tuner Show! This is the 16th year for SummerBash – and the judges want to reward anybody willing to add a little B96 flair to their car or display. Inside or outside, it doesn’t really matter where the judges find it, you will be rewarded if they do. The more creative the better with this category and the sky is the limit.



Judges: Representatives from the Universal Technical Institute will be evaluating all of the modified cars at the B96 Tuner Show. Julian from the B96 "J & Julian Morning Show" will also be on-site to select the ‘Julian’s Choice Award’


RULES AND REGULATIONS
•Placement of cars on-site will be give on a first come/first serve basis. This means that you should get to the venue early. If a member of your crew arrives late, doesn’t caravan with you, and is not in line with you at the time of roll-in, they will not be placed with you. (NO EXCEPTIONS) Timing of the Roll-In is from 9am-Noon Saturday morning.
•The vehicle must be clean and free of body damage. Project cars and prototypes must be in a completed state.
•NO Support vehicles are allowed inside the Tuner Show Area; you must walk/carry your equipment to your specific location.
•No vehicles will be allowed to move at all after Noon.
•Tear Down – Once all spectators have exited the Tuner Show Area, roll-out can commence.
•Music is not to exceed 75db
•No honking of horns or Air Horns
•No profanity
•Displays that are of a disruptive, objectionable or inappropriate nature – as interpreted by B96 Management – will be removed from the show.
•B96 Management shall have the full power in the interpretation and enforcement of all terms, rules and regulations and any further stipulations considered necessary for the proper conduct of the show.
•Participants agree to comply with all standards and rules set forth by the judges and organizers of B96 SummerBash Tuner Show. Participant’s failure to comply with such terms, rules, and regulations shall entitle B96 to terminate its obligations under this contract.
•Participants agree to accept, under reasonable conditions, the final judgement and award of prizes of the judges.
•Participants agree to comply with all pertinent laws, codes and regulations of municipal or other authorities with affect the display space.
•All models within your display space must be in good taste. B96 SummerBash has many minors in attendance, and we need to make sure everything at the show is appropriate for all ages. No lingerie, extremely skimpy clothing, and absolutely no stripping or lude acts. Also, if a model in your booth becomes disruptive to the show, management reserves the right to stop any activities.
•All display vehicles, displays, signs, stickers, etc must remain within your assigned show space at all times. Participants will be responsible for removal of all stickers left in the venue. No distribution of literature or placement of literature around the B96 SummerBash Tuner Show area will be permitted. Any music must remain within the confines of your space or played at a level not to interrupt the business of surrounding vendors.
•Conduct & Attire: All B96 SummerBash Tuner Show participants are expected to conduct themselves in a civilized, non-violent manner. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated. Those responsible for insinuating or participating, either physically or verbally, will be removed from show grounds and escorted off the premesis. Violent action will be met to the individual(s) with law enforcement officials who will be prosecuting to the full extent of the law. Weapons of any kind will also not be admitted onto show grounds. Any and all weapons confiscated by security or B96 Management will not be returned to the individual(s), so do not bring them. A dress code will also be enforced during the event. No gang attire will be allowed. B96 Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

ok bpd/mike got ahold of me... about this...

he knows a guy (tony showckwave customs) that has bought 100 spots!!!! he is doing this with MONSTER energy drinks...

he will pay the entry fee and you get 2 concert tickets(65 entry fee and tickets),sticker and tshirt that has to been worn at the car show... will be parked 50 feet from the entrance to the concert...SECURITY will be present to watch the cars.... so free entry fee and free concert!

there will be car magazine people there, local media tv and newspaper...(great way to get us out there!!)

car MUST be modded...to go with the import/modded theme... rims (he really dont want stock ones),tint,hood,airbrushing etc, just dont want bone stock or stock looking!!!...they do have a modern muscle class...and if we get enough dodges he will do a dodge class...

as you can see from the judging criteria....they really go over your ride when judging....GET EM CLEAN and then some!!

anyone interested...I need your name, address, phone #, email, make and mods to the ride...so it can be forwarded to him...so he can register the cars before hand ....and you will get a call or email stating your car is entered!

My shop will be riding a BMX demo this day...

Did it last year, had a blast. Cant make it this year, as I got into the motorcycle class at COD.

There were 2 cars last year, like a v8 solstice and an s2k from a single shop.. Sounds like they are upping it this year

I know this is the aniversary weekend, but this sounds so tempting. It would be a great way to get the Camm name out there!

I get the CAMM name out there 99% of the summer so I will be skipping the tuner/donkey rides and will be attending the anniversary. Besides I really don't think we would pick up many new members from a tuner show
