day off whatnot with pics.

put 2 more coats of zaino on the car since i had the day off.

then i was looking at it and was like.... you know i have never been pulled over for no front plate in my truck and its been off of it for like 6 years... fuck it... i pulled the front plate off, compounded, buffed, and Zaino'd where the plate used to be. then i drove to the parts store and picked up some push pins to fill the holes.

its gonna be hard to resist driving it since there have been some nice cars out to play with the last couple days, but i think im gonna park the car in the garage under a cover till the show on the 18th. then i will just have to dust her off and not do any heavy cleaning before the show.

the truck is dirty as hell in these pics but it doesn't look like it for some reason. lol.

i got the plate holder in my trunk and i always have a tool kit so if i get pulled over ill just tell him ill bolt it on for him if he wants. lol.

i just keep mine in my window... the law doesn't state that it has to be fastened to the front bumper just states you must have 2 plates one on front one on back..

I stand corrected here is what the legislation reads...so what i am doing is illegal...

Chapter 625 ILCS 5/3-413 of the Illinois Vehicle Code states:
(a) Registration plates issued for a motor vehicle other than a motorcycle, trailer, semi-trailer, truck tractor,
apportioned bus, or apportioned truck shall be attached thereto, one in the front and one in the rear. The
registration plate issued for a motorcycle, trailer or semi-trailer required to be registered hereunder and any
apportionment plate issued to a bus under the provisions of this Code shall be attached to the rear thereof.
The registration plate issued for a truck tractor or an apportioned truck required to be registered hereunder
shall be attached to the front thereof.
(b) Every registration plate shall at all times be securely fastened in a horizontal position to the vehicle for
which it is issued so as to prevent the plate from swinging and at a height of not less than 12 inches from
the ground, measuring from the bottom of such plate, in a place and position to be clearly visible and shall
be maintained in a condition to be clearly legible, free from any materials that would obstruct the visibility
of the plate, including, but not limited to, glass covers and tinted plastic covers. Clear plastic covers are
permissible as long as they remain clear and do not obstruct the visibility of the plates. Registration stickers
issued as evidence of renewed annual registration shall be attached to registration plates as required by the
Secretary of State, and be clearly visible at all times.

Oh well that sucks.

The one pulled me over for plate covers as they were tinted on the back and they other times I really believe they had nothing better to do and wanted to see the can cause they walked all the way around it and didn't really have much to say Twilight zone hit cause in the real world that just does not happen
