When I went last year, the only way you were getting in was if you were registered or paid the $500 to participate. The only way you'd be able to see anything is if you brought your binoculars.

Well that sucks. It would be fun to watch.

I think you can bring a guest for like $150 and they ride with the instructors on the Petty team. It may be too late now, though.

I was just mapping out my route a few minutes ago. Yahoo says 1 1/2 hour (w/o consideration for ridiculous Chicago traffic). I'm thinking I'll probably leave around 0600 to be safe. Woodfield seems out of the way.

If you guys want to meet up still afterwards someone give me a call. Will be at the house all day.

You aren't going 355 then? I think it is the fastest way. I dunno I've never been there.

355 is the route that Dan and I took when we went last year.

Yes, I plan on going 90 -> 290 -> 355 -> 80.

There were rumblings here today about them asking me to come into work Friday so just give me a call. I am doing everything I can not to though.

Not sure where that is. It doesn't look like there is an exit at Beverly, though. Would have to get off at 25 and take 72.
