Sanding????? Empty
PostSubject: Sanding?????   Sanding????? I_icon_minitimeOctober 28th 2009, 6:54 am

Ok, so I'm gonna start getting my plastic under the hood ready to take by Rich for some airbrushing. I have to sand the clear coat of my existing pieces that are airbrushed so I can put a new base coat on them. What kind of sand paper should I use, and should I wet sand or dry sand my pieces. Like I said I only need to get the existing clear coat off, I dont need to sand of the airbrushing on there now. I can paint over that once I get the clear coat removed.

Try 2000 grit and make sure the pieces AND the paper are both wet. If you were closer I'd give you my paper. I got it free from the body shop and never used it.

And make sure you keep it wet during the sanding process.

Will do, how do I know if I got the clear coat off? Will it be real dull looking?
