i can't afford a roll cage for a while so i installed a harness bar to make my my harnesses safer. they don't make a direct fit harness bar for our cars so i went out on a limb and ordered a universal bar. had to notch the carpet and the bottom of the B pillar plus get longer grade 8 bolts for the top seat belt bolts. install looks real clean. I'm happy with it.

took the pictures last night so the passenger seat harness is not installed in the pics, but i put that in today.

Those are both some pretty sweet looking rides...

now i feel i need a door prop rod for one rear door to kinda show off the setup a bit. i think the prices of door prop rods are insane. went down to menards and bought a aluminum rod for 2 bux. bent it, cut it, test fitted it. bam. done. somehow i got the bends perfect on the first try. screw group buys, i made my own for less than the shipping itself in the group buy...

then i plasti-dipped it so if i drop it or whatever i can't scratch the car.

ivan the prop rods are real easy to make. maybe I'll make you some, menards only had 2 pieces of the aluminum rod. if go there again and they have more I'll pick it up.

Jontoad mind showing the ends of the door prop rods. Thinking of making my own this weekend. What did you bend them with?

i used a vise in the shop in my basement. just made a loop on one end and kinda winged it on the other. i think i could improve my design though... nothing wrong with the one i made i just think i could do it a little different. i have a few ideas.

been saving to afford a few things. got a small profit sharing bonus at work so i had a little cash to finally get some stuff.

i found the weak link of the SRT drive train from racing, its the motor mounts. i started to feel a little kick after putting the throttle down from a stop, it was the motor rocking a bit on the worn factory motor mounts. so i just ordered a set of the beefy 6 speed challenger SRT motor mounts to take care of that.

i did order a danko SRT8 front spoiler a week back or so (still waiting on that to show up). i just picked up the spoiler supports for it. (still going for the race car type look, i think the supports will do that) got black ones since i want the colors to match and not stand out.

now the wait for everything to show up... and hopefully i can get a hold of sublime to paint the lip for me if i don't get it hydro dipped in carbon fiber print.
