meh. i could live in fear or i could just keep driving. hack, shmack. i don't care.
Yeah, living in fear would be silly since you have an '06 and '08.
I've read more and it seems it is tied to the new vehicles that have some kind of connection to the Sprint network.
i dunno. i have Uconnect and Sat Nav in the 06, that's what hey used to hack it. they also said they used Canbus signals which are used more in 06-07 than in the newer Mygig cars. either way i'm sure hacking older cars isn't high on the priority list. haha.

After Blackbird's video and seeing how easy it is, I'm going to Harbor Freight tomorrow and purchase an OBD-II to USB adapter and do this to mine. You can borrow the adapter once I'm finished, Jon.
Apparently things are not as bad as that sensationalist story out of Wired made it sound. Here is some much more accurate info http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2015/07/jeep-recalls-1-4-million-cars-uconnect-hack/ Looks like the only vehicles effected are:
2013-2015 Dodge Viper 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups 2013-2015 Ram 3500, 4500, 5500 Chassis Cabs 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cherokee SUVs 2014-2015 Dodge Durango SUVs 2015 MY Chrysler 200, Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger sedans 2015 Dodge Challenger
