32nd Annual Fiesta Days Car Show - McHenry, IL - July 12, 2015

The 32nd Annual Fiesta Days Car Show welcomes automotive enthusiasts and their cars of all types. Held in conjunction with the McHenry Fiesta Days village festival...the car show attracts thousands of visitors from the surrounding communities and provides a backdrop for families to participate in other festival activities.

The car show features well over 200 vintage and special interest automobiles with an emphasis on street rods and vehicles modified from stock. The show takes place at Petersen Park in McHenry, IL located at 4300 Petersen Park Road, McHenry IL 60050 on Sunday July 12, 2015 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Who is going this year?

Pretty sure I am in. Would like to go early so can try to park in the same place as we did last year. I will bring my tent as well.

With the thought of getting there early what time would that be?

Its kinda confusing the Facebook event says 9 am and I am pretty sure we have always gone at 9 am but when you check the flyer and their site it says registration opens at 8 am.

So you guys tell me. Last year it wasn't crowded because the weather scared a lot of people off. We were able to get a nice spot in the shade right by the entrance road under the trees. Normally we are parked out on the outfield of the baseball field.

I am bringing my tent either way so we will have shade.

Maybe shoot for the middle and say 830 am meet and roll in by 845 am? If we are out on the ball field we can probably hold spots. But I would really like to try to get where we were last year.

8:30 works for me. The tree area sounds nice, but if we have your tent I'm good with parking wherever.

The weather is not looking so good for tomorrow plus I am worn out from today so I am backing out of tomorrow. If anyone goes have fun and good luck.

I think just Krystn went and Crystal showed up later. They said it was overcast but humid

Be glad yall didn't go. Absolute cluster fuck again. I went after Krystn told me she was there and all along, I felt like an asshole.

They "judged" again. We were by our cars 99% of the day and not ONE time did anyone come by to judge. Its a trunk open show and I had my feet resting on my lisc plate so I would have had to MOVE if someone came to judge.

Again when it came time for awards no idea what they were doing, they called the 2nd class was 40's or something and the winner was a 1970 something. So then they stopped calling classes and just read off the list of winners. This time it was more than just the number we got name, number, and car so there was that.

They had a ladies only class and we only found 2 other cars with the same class number. None of the 4 of us won, somone else did. Then leaving the chick that owned the Vette in our class was in front of me and realized that her plates were for her boyfriends black Vette so they are probably both his. The chick that had the Jeep was riding shotgun when I flew past them on 31. So yeah eyeroll.

It was very hot and since I wasn't going to go the EZ up was in the Jeep but we made due with my umbrellas. They did bring back the free ticket to go into the food area but we didn't go over there. But I am fully done with this show. It just doesn't make any sense how they do things and that is really a shame because I really used to like going.

Sorry to those that were going to go and didn't end up going because I backed out last night. I really wasn't going to go but things change. I would like to ask not to base you going to show off if I am going or not because if that is the case then we are in trouble.

Don't worry all is good, I really just wanted to see what the weather was talking bout and that's when you said you weren't going cause of the other running. I should've talked to everyone else that posted they were going, so it's my fault too. Next time I'm asking everyone. I didn't want to go up there and no one be there, was my issue.

Ya I was on my way and remembered how much this show sucks, so I turned around and went back home. Plus James wasnt going and he owes me lunch
