Pricing
For this event Early Bird Registration pricing will be available thru January 31, 2014 at 11:59pm EST for $35.  After that and until one full week prior to the first day of the event Pre-Registration prices are in effect at $40.

The week leading up to the event we do not take registrations until the day prior to the event.  At that time, Late Registration prices go into effect and can only be done at the Registration Trailer (Tent) at the event for $55.

GOING GREEN! Confirmation letters will only be sent via e-mail so please make sure you have entered your correct email address.  Please remember the confirmation letter is not required in order to pick up your credentials.  You will simply need to have your valid driver's license to sign the waivers and pick up your credentials.

I know Jackie and Scott and Tom C and Mary went to this show last year and had a great time. Since a lot of you don't make the drive to Monster out in Ohio earlier in September maybe think about doing this as our big "away trip" for CAMM this year.

I am a strong maybe for this right now.

Got a hotel, Hilton Garden in on E Dirksen Pkwy in Springfield. It's right across from where the cruise starts and forms on the 25th. Cost $109 per night

I been to this 4 time back in the early days of LXs. Awesome weekend they close the whole downtown of old Springfield down. You walk the streets till you tired looking at miles of cars. Last one i was at Don Garlits was there singing and had one of his old dragster. The Ring Brothers had this awesome built Nova. Just so much to see and do. I recommend staying at the Abe Lincoln Hotel in downtown. There you can leave your car on the street and walk back to your Hotel. Since the place is closed off the whole weekend the Police patrol the streets all night. Went one year we had a whole block of LXs. It was a great time. Even meet President Lincoln him self.

I am still on the fence about going but I went ahead and booked a room at the same hotel as Tom. Arriving Friday the 25th and checking out Sunday the 27th.

If I go I will figure out a cruise down if anyone is interested.

I registered my car for this and for Monster last week so I am in for sure now.

So this is what I am thinking for the cruise down there. We cannot check into the hotel before 3 pm and it looks like things do not kick off until 6 pm (people that have gone tell me if I am wrong). Would like to get down there about right when we can check in.

Thinking we can meet and have lunch before heading down, this is right of 55:

There is also a Shell right there for anyone that needs to gas up, get ice, whatever.

From there to the hotel is 2 and half hours.

Thinking those that want to eat meet at Cracker Barrel at 12 pm.
Should be done eating by 1/115 pm for those that want to come later and not eat.
Then we can all roll out at 130 and head to the hotel.

Thoughts? Objections?

Or would everyone rather get down there and then eat then check in?

We are planning on this also, I will register tonight.

CREDENTIAL PICKUP
When checking in, you will need your VALID DRIVER LICENSE .

You can pick up your credential starting Thursday, September 24th at 2:00 pm. at the Registration Trailer. The address to registration is 630 South 6th Street in the parking lot of the Ansar Shrine Temple (basically 6th and Cook). See full registration hours above.

Registration credentials include a hanging mirror credential for the vehicle.

FRIDAY NIGHT CRUISE
NO non-cruise vehicles (registered or not) will be admitted into the Downtown event location Friday night until after the cruise arrives from Capitol City, no exceptions!



Admission is FREE to all spectators!



So I am thinking we pick up our registration stuff first since we can starting at 2 on Friday, check in the hotel, then go get in the line to cruise over.

Not eating, arrive by 1115 am we will be departing at 1130 am sharp.

2.5 hours to get down to registration.

After we all get registered we will head over to the hotel to get checked in and unpacked then head over to join the cruise. Which looking at the map its like right across the street.

Ok I am going to have to back out of this unfortunately. If anyone going would like to step up and take over any plans I would appreciate it. Have fun to those that are going.

Ok so who's all going and any plans for a cruise down or just meet up once we get down there?

Well me and Jackie are probably going down on Thursday to drop my mom off at my sisters in Elk Heart (20min from springfield) so we will most likely be there already.
I think Tom and Mary plan on going on their own from another post, and not sure what Paul is doing.
I'll message you my cell if you need to get a hold of me James .

The boys and I are planning on driving down Friday morning.  We were originally going to go to the Romeoville meetup spot but I think only we (and possible Tom and Mary if they're not at their summer place) will be coming from that direction so perhaps a different meetup location would make sense?

I believe there is a BP/McDonalds at the route 6/I-55 interchange right after the I80/I55 interchange that we could meet up at.  The address for it if you want to google it is 24061 W Eames St
Channahon, IL 60410.  It's a pain to get into, either swing an illegal u-turn or take a left and drive around behind it to get into it, but it would keep the people coming from the east on 80 and from the north on 55 from having to go out of their way for a meetup location.

We could meet up there at 11:30 and hit the road by 11:45 to reach Springfield around 2pm?  I think this would also work better for Bill and his son Brandon who would be coming from Tinley Park as well.

Either that, or we all just head down on our own and meet up in the late afternoon cruise staging area.
