| It would probably be easier if you heard it in person...maybe we could hook up at some point at a show or something so you could hear it? | |

| might be the cooling fans. I mean, it could be just about anything, but for some reason chirping seems like plastic fans to me. Maybe because mine just exploded and I feel like I'm driving around with a time bomb under the hood now.

| no it is definitely intake or vacuum related....only occurs at 3000 rpm and above under heavy throttle and I have ruled out the cai and the throttle body and all vacuum lines are attached.. | |

| what makes you think that its intake or vacuum related if its a chirping? either one of those things would be more constant on the noise. could be your tension pulley spring getting weak cause the belt to slip slightly... | |

| I know what a belt slip sounds like and this may be more constant just to quiet to hear over the exhaust I had a mechanic listen to it while he was riding his motor cycle and he said sounds like vacuum related and to me it sounds vacuum or intake related because even if I am about half gas and it reaches 3000 it starts to get loud and sounds like it is going with the motor....I thought it was exhaust related because it seemed to start when the drivers side flex pipe was replaced but I took it back to them and they changed it out no difference. it sounded like it was coming from the cai but no dice it has been changed and so has the throttle body...I found that the pvc valve was not in all the way so I fixed that no difference but it sounds more like air related like pss pss pss but more like a bird sound I also checked and my catch can o ring is there...if you can imagine air going through something that causes it to whistle but in bursts like the engine intermittently a chirpy whistle | |

| I did notice that the flex pipe is shaped differently the stock one was like a big ball shape the replacement is just more straight with the flex section but I figured if that part was whistling/chirping it would sound out the back not like it is coming from under the hood? | |

| I did crack the pipe coming out of the pvc can when trying to open the top of the can but I fixed that with clear jb weld could it be the top of the can does it have an o ring the top seems impossible to get off without braking it. I tried to remove it because I sucked up a little oil out of my catch can when I forgot to empty it so I wanted to look in there....I also sprayed a little carb clean into the cai without the filter on to clean out the little bit of oil could that do something... | |

| It could be that hose going to the catch can. I had a leak in mine, sealed it up but it still whistled a bit. | |

I would start by replacing those Pulstar plugs with the NGK oem ones. The ECM wiil pull all of that excessive spark it sees anyway. Even John Force runs the cheap Champions in his FC. Stay with what works. Same with those MSD coil packs. They don't produce anymore spark than the oem packs. | |

| Well the pulstars have been in there since shortly after getting the car so no issues there and I had a bad coil pack so went with those and they are running fine....the car runs very well I hit 135 on way home last night still pulling very hard...just an annoying sound is all lol

| No it was recommend that I stick with the one cut for exact fit specially for headman headers no way the gasket is bad in a few days anyway right? I think since it is on the passenger side that it has to do with the dipstick bolt he didn't have the bolt tightening pattern which I would assume you use the stock pattern... I will be bringing the pattern with me! | |
