| Hi everyone, I just joined the site I am from the L.I.T.H. Algonquin Area, I got a 2011 Challenger R/T in Toxic Orange, I am the only one in that area with the color it seems like so, if you have seen the car you have probably seen me. I have had it at a few shows this year and found out about this site at the McHenry Fiesta Days car show finally had time to join and I am hoping to use this site to get idea for mods for my car. | |

| Nice, I just need money so I can start on the mods (unless there are cheap enough one), otherwise my winter project will be my motorcycle this year.
I had a crazy idea for a mod about 4 months back I still have been thinking about, I think it would be the first of its kind. Finding a way to make a new version of the AirGrabber hood with the pop up hood scoop, possibly using the shaker hood style cut out and fabricating a system that would lift the AirGrabber at a certain speed or just by the flip of a switch. I would be more then happy to have my hood as the test subject if anyone is willing to try it out.

| Kermit, you are actually one of the cars at Fiesta days that I really liked. After I saw how you had the airbox setup on your engine, I thought that would be a perfect set up for the AirGrabber mod I was thinking about. Plus I see you got the Diablo Tuner how has that worked out for you, have you done any tunning yet? | |

| Sorry to say Greyghost but I don't think it would work. The setup I have sitting on top of the intake manifold only fits because of that big fat hole in the middle of my hood. If I don't have my shaker or TA scoops on and close the hood the whole front half of the assembly is protruding through the hole. An air grabber should be able to recede flush with the hood closed which it could never do with what I have. Even if it could be jammed in, with the air grabber closed you'd be sucking in hot air directly from the engine bay.

Well it wouldn't be that exact system it would be something similar, I would have to sit down and seriously rack my brain. I am sure there is a way it can done.
How is that Diablo tuner working for you?

| wrote you a nice long response on what I think might work for your air grabber, and then my session with the website died and the response is now lost. Perhaps we'll get a chance to discuss some time.
The Diablo is alright. I held off on getting one for a long time but needed to adjust my fans for the 180 thermo. As time goes on I'm hoping to get more use out of it. For the things I've currently done with it I probably could have gone with the cheaper intune offering.

| Yeah, i wouldn't mind chatting about it soon.
Thats kind of a shame, I was reading good stuff in Modern Mopar about it I thought it would be something alittle more worth while.
