The result is fucking great!! Chris (chicagovich) was kind enough to give me a pair of Alpine 6x9's he had laying around. Hey bro thanks again, I owe you a few cocktails and lunch or something. Installed them today and yes was sweating my ass off in my garage. I cant have something sitting around and not install it, lol. I actually took it a step farther with the install. Problem with the Jeeps, is that the front 6x9's act as a sub/driver. It drove me fucking nuts when I would turn the music up, the front door would rattle really bad on the outside and sounded shitty inside, too much bass. So I researched it and found a solution. You go to the factory amp (which is a bitch to get to and no room to work). You cut the front door speaker wires on the amp then you tap those in to the dash tweeter wires also on the amp. The result is a nice clean clear high/mid sound. Now I can actually hear all the highs in the music and let the bass come from my 12" sub. My buddy stopped by as I was finishing up and I let him hear it with sub turned off and turned on. He asked me what kind of amp I was running to the highs, when I told him it was the stock amp and Alpine 6x9's he didnt believe me, lol. It has a whole new sound to it.

Let's hear it for clear high's!  My favorite kind. Glad it worked for you.

Great to hear. Now you got the inside sounding as good as it sounds outside.
