PostSubject: Chrome trim painted   Chrome trim painted I_icon_minitimeJanuary 26th 2013, 11:44 am

Just picked up my truck from the painter. Had all chrome window trim, door trim, front and rear bumper trim painted body color. Also added a pair of Stillen side marker covers and had them painted, so no more big ugly ass orange turn signal on the front. The only chrome left to do is de-badge front and back emblems, and have tail pipes powder coated black when I order an exhaust. Here are pics, have more but photobucket is acting up and is really slow for some reason today. Anyone you use something better than photobucker thats free????

Just needs to be lowered, not bigger wheels. Although I am contemplating how 24" rims would look. Will be ordering a BC coilover kit after I get an exhaust. Hopefully before summer.

90% sure I'm going with a Borla catback. On youtube I found a video of 4-5 different jeeps all with different catbacks. Each one did a start up and rev and I liked the Borla the best. I say 90% because a local guy in Jeep forum is going to eliminate stock resos, and suitcase muffler, then add 2) SLP loudmouth reso's, straight pipe the rest. I want to hear how that sounds first, can be done for about $400 including new exhaust tips. I want to hear how loud it is, I'm thinking it may be to loud for my liking.

Had a Borla on both my Jeeps. Love how they sounded and they were just a Inline 4 so on yours should be awesome.

Tell me about it bro, I hate the fucking front plate. I plan on tinting my windshield so might as well keep it somewhat legal for now.

Swift plates! http://swiftmotorsports.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=362&products_id=1837

I've been needing to get one myself since I've gotten pulled over twice in the last month for no front plate.

BTW: Ryan (pit) is looking big bro. Get some updated pics up!

The Jeep is looking awesome... I'd love something like that... But the almost 80 mile round trip drive to work would kill me... As it is, I only drive my truck once or twice a week if that...

I hear you on that. Main reason I bought because when my company moved my commute was cut to less than half. If we were still on the south side of Chicago, I couldnt afford the gas.

I saw a hide away plate holder on lx just now for 55 bucks. The thread was Meech's garage sale.
