Ok, slight communication problem here. Who is in to meet at the old Walmart on the corner of Route 31 and McCullom Lake Road? I will be there @ 9 am. And plan on pulling out @ 9:15 am.

I don't know the address. But there is a mobil gas station on the NW corner as you travel North on 31. Take a left @ McCullom Lake Rd. and pass the gas station. Right behind that (or 1st right turn ) is the old Walmart. Any questions, call me 1-815-701-1008.

The green arrow is the old Walmart lot. To the left on the map is Peterson Park ( I circled it)where the Fiesta Days grounds are.

Lots of nice cars at the show......glad I got to meet a few of the members on, thanks for the hospitality.

After bakin my ass off today and a cool shower its "Al Bundy" the rest of the evening nice seeing everyone and meetin the new peeps

Was worried about you guys all day, I knew it was going to be bad but I would have traded anything to be there with ya'll despite the heat.

had a good time besides for heat... Luckily we didnt start any brush fires with our car's running for the a/c! Jeff was the only one from our group to take home an award!! Congrats Jeff! now, to take some aspirin for this headache, and enjoy the a/c the rest of today.....

Thanks to all who came out....new members and old, to brave the heat . It was a scorcher. I need to cool down some more before I post up pics and the videos we took.

that big ass snow cone helped at the show. never had a 32oz snow cone before. that was nice.

Yeah I would have died... We visited for like 10 minutes and we already had enough haha just saw Ray chilling by the cars everyone else was prolly eating. Just too damn hot for shows you guys are troopers for putting up with that.

yeah, im pretty settled down now... It was damn hot for a car show... I really wish they would hold these things either later in the day, or in a location with ample amounts of shade for everyone...

If we ever do a CAMM show its going to be like Sept or Oct and a twilight show.

How come you ask....

The McHenry Chamber is responsible for the Fiesta Days programs.
They have a car group who does the car show. This group decided that
food court entry was unnecessary as Lions and another food vendor
were to be in the car show area. Lions was there and had a long line.
The other vendor did not have proper country health permits and as
such had to leave. As the car group was doing the car show the Chamber
people were totally UNaware of what was transpiring. The McHenry
Chamber of Commerce was busy fielding calls all morning long with much
chagrin of how car show was handled.
As it was explained to me the Chamber pays for the trophy's and most
of the advertising for the show. The group collects the money which is a fund
raiser for them and they gives a small contribution to the Chamber.
The Fiesta Days Committee and the McHenry Chamber are not happy with
how the show was done and have pretty much promised that it will not be
done the same again.
Food vendors pay a lot to be able to set up there plus have to deal with
getting county permits all on their own. The car show participants pay to
show off their cars. The Chamber pays to advertise the event and for trophy's..
So who is making out here...
