racing at Byron?

so......it seems as though a few of the truck guys may head over to Byron for a little TnT action in the afternoon/evening....

i have never raced at a track, and i am wondering what all i would need if i were to head there to race.......or if i even would be able to.......

helmet? any other safety gear? i have a few helmets, but i doubt that they would pass for drag racing...they are all old motorcycle helmets form the 80s-90s......and i dont have cash for a new helmet right now....

what all do i need for Byron?

sleeves on your shirt and no tank tops. Long pants and closed toe shoes. If you go faster than 13.99 you need a snell rated helmet SA 2000 or better. I think the 2000 snells expire after or maybe will sometime this year.

Cool deal Tom! I am still on the fence on weather or not I'm gonna go with em and run, but we shall see....

They're not too picky about helmets., unlike Great Lakes. They'll probably let you race with a empty paint bucket on your head there.

If you go, then you should highly concider running your truck. You'll love it...
