Subject: IMSM 2011 Schedule March 2nd 2011, 8:41 pm
I'm joining this IMSM index racing league and I will be dialed in at the 11.6 index bracket. I'll have to slow my car down to race in this index bracket, but I know the car can run it in the hot weather. the other reason is I won't need a roll bar to race. It will be a blast and should make for some great smack talking as the year goes on. Tim, Rhonda and Todd are in it as well. Rhonda is in my index and she will be racing a Mustang. I'm probably going to be her bitch all season, because Tim says she just get's stupid at the tree, lol. They run a pro tree and I have zero experience on the pro tree, as I have only raced on a sportsmans tree before. I'm sure it will be great fun and that's what I'm there for. So if anyone in CAMM wants to join me and go racing, let me know. http://www.imsmracingseries.com/vb/showthread.php?t=7676 IMSM 2011 shedule:

Huh...I would think the car would wreck something in the house....JK. That's interesting. Tim was coaching me on how to do it without watching the tree. Just from watching, I think I'll like the pro tree more.

When I raced last year, some people would ask what class my car was in. I had no idea, so I told them the "special" class, lol. Pro street, pro modified, super street. It just didn't fit into those classes, even though I beat a few by luck. I'm faster than Pro Outlaw/Street Heat at most times, but now I know what my class is for all seasons. Plus I can run it with a full interior, which is nice. I could care less about winning trophys, but I LIVE for the Smack Talking that will happen at the events, lol. It should be a blast!

Been on the IMSM forums introducing myself and I got my number set. Get this, they are giving me SH666. I'm driving The Hell Bitch and she's on the highway to Hell wearing SH666.

Awesome number.
I used to play on the tree all the time when I was younger. Still find myself pushing the button (pretend of course) when I watch racing on tv.
Your going to have so much fun dude!

Had our first IMSM race event today. I was 2nd in qualifying in Street Heat, which is my class. I ran an 11.70 and an 11.68. I hit the brakes on the 11.68 and was ready to run closer to 11.60 in my first race. I pulled a 2.43 r/t on my first .400 pro tree and was pretty happy with that number. I ran up on my torque converter at the line in my first race and the car jumped about a foot and I red lighted. It was a real gas anyway. Now I have them all right where I want them
My car, Tim's GSS (Todd Roberts driver) and Jim Rubels car (Tim tested) Rubels ran a 10.35 after tightening up the converter from the Orlando test. The GSS ran an 11.75 and so Todd changed out the plugs and it ran a 10.30.

I missed you at Byron before your Las Vegas trip. This post is off topic but I wanted your advice on the Challenger half shafts that have 31 splines on both ends. The web sites say they are good for up to 700 HP. I want to mate that with the Wavetrac LSD. The Wavetrac is advertised to have a lifetime warranty. Let me know what you think of this combination. Just for reference, my car has 535 rear wheel horsepower and 530 ft lbs torque.
The other choice would be the same half shafts with the Getrag LSD. I would also have to change the driveshaft to mate with the Getrag.
What time does the actual racing start at GLD? I cant' get to GLD on Sundays until 2:15 pm or so. Byron is easier as it is on Saturdays and I don't have a conflict.
By the way, my wife had a quick race with a Bentley that was racing a standard Porsche 911 and she blew by both of them on the right lane on Algonquin road by Harper College!

The OEM 2009 Challenger R/T half shafts would fit the 215mm Wavetrac and should be fine at your level. DSS makes some of the best around as an option, but I don't think you need those. Unless your planning on running slicks.
May 15 Sun Brackets & IMSM 9am-5pm We go through 2 rounds of qualifying before the racing starts. Racing will most likely start after noon.
Bill, you should seriously sign your wife up for IMSM. She is a little maniac, lol. I know she would love to do this. Have her just hang out with us at the Mr. Norm's trailer until you get there. We can get her all signed up and point her down track :-) We cook out and have plenty of food and cold drinks. We have a great time working on our cars and over analyzing everything. There are women racers in IMSM too and they are very tough competitors.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I am thinking of using Nitto, Hankook or perhaps the M & H racemaster drag radials probably 275 45 18 on the Borbet wheels and install them at the track.
Are you at the track on Saturdays (Byron or GLD) at other times or perhaps on Friday evenings?
Regards Bill

I go as often as I can, Bill. Weather permitting, we should hit the strip sometime. GLD weeknights and Byron on weekends.
