Sunday at Great Lakes Dragaway..new pb?

Leaving in a few min. Yesterday was a good lesson in humility. It made me realize that I still suck! I have to learn how to launch in less than ideal conditions. It's hard to do when the car goes into boost and your losing traction. Maybe the track will be better today than yesterday. If I can put a 4 in my # I will take it. I'm hoping for a lower #, but who know's. I'm prepared for whatever the outcome is. I have my interior and trunk out and I'm going to run a bit more fuel today. I've got my fingers crossed.

Tom you don't suck. Launching a car is an art, in my own opinion. And you can race cars all the time and still crap can go wrong (remember our race car sliding down the track on its lid last year). Yesterday's weather was weird, my car was actiing weird on the way home again so I can only imagine how yours was acting.

Just keep having fun with all this and the numbers will come.

I was telling my dad about your car last night and he was more excited then me I think. Hopefullly once he retires next year I can get him up here and we can all hit the track. Just can't run my car since I don't race it...... wink wink, nudge nudge.

First pass of the day and I got my #. The last thing Tim said to me last Tues. when we walked out of the shop at closing time was "Go back to the track and ge me a time slip with a 3 on it. We need your best time slip for your show poster." I think it helped that I had some healthy competition in the other lane. It was kinda fun after 60' and just watching him in the rear view. I'm car 8 in the left lane.

It kind of got a little wild after the 1000ft. I was all over the place or it woulda been an 11.2 or 11.1. Next time.

If you ahd run the same 60's on the first run as you did on the second run that would have been a 10.93!!!!!!

We are going to Byron Saturday with the GSS, we need to try and get yours in the 10's! I'm going for 9's on a completely stock 08 bottomend with the GSS. It went 10.64 @ 129 on 9 psi and pump gas. Adding 3-4 psi and race gas to it this time.

Well, if it dosent rain I'm. Most likely be the last run for me this year. Gonna run 28's and spray 150 out of the hole. If it dont break I hope to break out of the 12.4s

It's looking like Byron on Sat. Tim and Todd are gonna play with the GSS. If it's nice out Sunday, we could definately figure something out. Maybe hit Byron again, Sunday.
