Thanks! Yeah, I love it. And you can paint the gill insert sheet anything you want, VERY easily. Mo's a great help, too.

Thanks man no they are powdercoated gloss black but are so shiny they almost look black chrome!!!

I'm a big Mad Max fan (the first movie. The second was really good, "Thunderdome" can suckit. ) I wanted to have some fun with the Interceptor concept. My guess? If they made the movie today, they'd make Interceptors out of Mopars instead of Fords.

I found a guy that owned an actual movie-accurate reproduction of the Mad Max Interceptor. He made the magnetic shields for the cars as used in the film. He hadn't been contacted about them since 2001 or so. He sold me his only set. I wanted magnetic, like I said, just to have some fun now and then and stick them on. I won't be running them on a regular basis.

Darrell asked if the "Interceptor Special V8" emblem was off of a Ford cop car from the 50's...I really don't know. But I also don't care if it was. That wouldn't be why I bought it. I like it, it's understated, my R/T is actually a V8 (so it's not "up"badging), it's old school (which is overall what I go for), and it's something I've never seen on a car anywhere else...which is also what I like about it.

The "Dodge Interceptor" badge? Well, hell...Interceptor concept is all. Notice it doesn't say "Police Interceptor" because, again, I'm not trying to be a poser, not trying to advertise that I have something I don't, like a police package. (Or, you know, like upbadging a 2.7L with "R/T?").

And the MFP badge? Just my little corner of fun in the world.

Sorry to sound so defensive...I've just been wondering what the community reaction would be. At the end of the day, of course, it's my car and it's only important that I like what's on it. But, especially after the Rookie's show and what happened there, I don't want to be "that guy" with the CAMM members. So the look is just me "doin' my thing" like everyone "does their thing."
